Feb. 25, 2008, 9:02 AM - Picked up the phone before checking the caller ID. Caller self-identified as calling for "Leukemia and Lymphoma Society". Told the caller we did not take telephone solicitations and not to call back (we are on DNC list). We started receiving calls from 914-513-2843 a couple of weeks ago.

got the call from 914-513-2343 from yonkers, NY. They won't leave message. It happen since I send some donation to a charity by  mail last week. I guess it's a marketing call for more donation from other group.

My cell is one digit different and I've been getting calls EVERY day from people who think that I just called them!  I also got a call from them saying that I missed their call.  very annoying!!

Getting calls about once a day from this number.  I am registered on Do Not Call Registry, but apparently does not apply to callers from this number.

The calls are a nuisance and waste, how do I get them stopped?

Calls daily at least 2 times, morning before 9 and evening.  Nobody there!  How do we stop it.

They called a number of times the last few days, all at different times of the day. They don't leave a message ever.

They have called once a day for the past five days (except Sunday). I don't answer; they don't leave a message. These calls are very tiresome. I see from other posts that it is probably the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which makes sense since we have donated to them in the past. I won't donate again; they're obviously wasting our money on these foolish phone calls!

This bunch has called once daily this week, trying all the day parts. These can-shakers are tiresome, following on the heels of pesky campaigns from the Heart Assn. and AICR. ("Cancer Research")

Jeff H: No CSR took pity on you "at the last moment" because you've filed a DNC request. These calls are typically made by autodialer, their purpose being to fish for times when a human is likely to answer. It is also common for mass caller contractors to consider your DNC requests temporary. The calls may stop for a while, but then resume when the client has a new sales push to make.

Have had them call me twice; once today and once yesterday (gotta love caller ID). Both times I let is go to voicemail, but they do not leave a message. Went to http://www.reversephonedetective.com/ to do a reverse look up. All it says is that the number is in White Plains, NY. However, for a fee they will give me all the info on this number.

Have received the same call and when I call back I get the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They give the option of removing you from their list but that only results in a statement of their mission. A second option to remove your number from their list results in an indication that the number is not valid. I am making the return call from Skype.

My phone rang and I answered on the second ring.  The caller then hung up, but caller ID said it was the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  We have given to them in the past, but we also asked them to remove us from their call list previously, so perhaps the person calling saw that at the last moment.

The head of the local Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, for which I do fundraising events, said he has had several calls about this today, and that he will do his best to get a stop to it.  He said the Leukemia Society does not know what is generating these calls from their number, but it is happening all over the country.

Calls from this number have been coming in at all times including late PM and early AM.  Latest call cane on Sunday, answered phone and nobody there!  Caller ID shows Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  On Do Not Call Registry but do not believe it applies to charities.  Does anyone know how to get off their list?

These people call at least twice a day.  They are probably aware that my answering service picks up on the forth ring so they only ring 3 times and hang up. I never answer this caller

These folks are burning up the phone lines. The measley $25 dollars I contributed for a friends bike ride fundraiser sure isn't going for any cancer research; it's clearly going to pay telemarketers to make me and my family get up at all hours of the day and night to answer a call.  I reported them to the Do Not Call Gov. Registry, and will call them today to asked to be removed asap. Annoying. Lesson Learned! No more contributions to this organization. EVER.

Continuous calls from this number, ID'd as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. For the third day in a they have called at 8:30am. I have not yet picked the phone up but I want to scream at them. I'm on the DNC list but that doesn't apply to non-profit or political organizations.

i get a call from this number at least twice a day and have since the first of 2008.  when i answer they hang up.  no one ever says anything even when voice mail picks up.  today the called twice before 9:30 am.  I told them not to call again that i was going to report them to FCC.  Caller ID says they are from leukemia and lymphoma society.  I have made donations to them before but until these calls are stopped i will not donate to them again.  This is sad because I had a nephew die with leukemia and have worked for oncologists before and i don't think the true leukemia society would have their name associated with these harassing calls.    Thanks

Stop calling or leave a message!

Started receiving calls from this number 2 days ago.  When I call it back, there is a message that says they are calling about getting me to help with their spring & summer drive????

They have been calling me 4-6 times per week for over 3 months now. They don't leave a message. I did give money to them last year & it will be the last time.

These people call me at least 2-4 times a day, Monday thru Friday.  The number was originally coming up on caller ID as leuk&lymph soc, but has since changed to out of area.

We've been getting calls from this number every single day. It was coming up as Leuk&LymphSoc on caller ID, but now it's coming up Out of Area with the Yonkers,  NY location. They don't say anything if we answer and they never leave a message. It's really starting to get annoying.

Answered call...no one was on the other end.   Caller ID said Yonkers, NY

Caller ID shows this as hung ups.  Called back, was the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Option 1 to be removed did prompt a mission statement (and I am aware they do VERY good work - unfortunately aware).  Then, prompted again to be removed, option 3, and entered my phone number.  Indicates w/in 30 days number will be removed.
