Tired of receiving calls from 914-513-2859.....yesterday it was representing Wells Fargo Insurance....today I did not answer the phone.....how can this number be eliminated from my home phone?

I am upset with March of Dimes. Now that I know it is them calling all the time, I will do something about it. I helped before, the reason I am upset: I get mail from them asking for a donation and they include a dime with their request. If you need money, you don't send any away or send fancy labels or whatever with it. Use a plain piece of paper, black ink and then it looks to me like donated money is not wasted.

Receiving calls two to three times a day. Answer machine notifies them that this is phone is on the do not call list. Doesn't ever slow them down.

A woman called asking me to send 15 letters out to my friends asking them to donate to the March of Dimes. I said I didn't want to send out letters. She said could I make a one time donation of $36.00?

She said it was for children born with a low birth rate. I said how can children be born with a low birth rate? She said well it's for premature children. She wasn't very well spoken at all. I said send me something in the mail I don't donate over the phone. She had my name and address. She had an apartment number too. I said there's no apartment number. Only one other person has made this same mistake and that is DTE Energy. Is that where they are getting our infomation?

I don't know if this was legit or not.

We got a call from this number on our answering machine with a message that was obviously a young lady sobbing and crying. Then she hangs up. This is a pretty cruel thing to do considering it's "supposedly" coming from the March Of Dimes. We thought it was our daughter until we called her and made sure she was ok. This is NOT  the way to solicit donations, and they certainly won't be seeing a DIME from us!

I am receiving calls from this number. In the day and night time.

So, it has been two calls.

Have been getting calls from this number 2-3 times daily for at least a week.  We're on the west coast so some have been wake up calls for our time zone!  All we get is Yonkers NY on caller ID.  We would really like it to stop!  We have previously turned down the March of Dimes, so not sure if it's the same people still bugging us or not.

Caller ID shows just Phone number & Yonkers NY. I have had phone calls regularly at various times and days. i NEVER answer calls from numbers I don't know unless there's a call I'm expecting. If it's MOD they need to say so INSTEAD of a city.
I'll still ignore their calls. I DO NOT GIVE TO ANYONE SOLICITING OVER THE PHONE. I have received calls in the past from MOD that had their name. Personally I'd like to see EVERYBODY: Charities, Politicians, and Surveys too
included in the DO NOT CALL law and intend to let my legislators know it.
MOD does a good job, but ALL telemarketing sucks big time.

Has called the last three days. No message left, if its that important leave a message.

They called this morning at 8:15 , i usually don't pick up but it was so early and i was so angry that i finally did and yelled at them and told them not to call again. The number is for March of Dimes.

The above number calls everyday.  I am tired of it.  Is it a scam?

Thanks to everyone for the info. We have received ~10 calls over the past 2 weeks and finally know who is calling. I work 3rd shift and they usually call at 10:00am! It is NOT TRUE... "You must have helped one time or another and gave your info, or we wouldn't be calling!" My wife and I have never helped, given info, etc. We choose to give to other groups that ALSO need financial support. Also, we will NOT give to an organization that can afford to spend money this way.

I have received numerous calls from this number, Donor Care Center, which I have refused to answer, but they continue calling until it is several calls a day.  I wish this to be stopped!  I will continue refusing to answer, but I'm tired of their calls and wished them to be discontinued.

Rec'd call from "Donor Care Center", whatever the hell that is.  Reported it to the National Do Not Call center.

Constantly call me; when I answer there is no response

Donor Care calls several times a day.  When I'm not here they don't leave a message.  When I am here (usually on top of a ladder or in the basement) I race to the phone, only to hear lots of crowd noise in the background, but never a live person.  

Why does it take up to a month to remove a telephone number?????

The March of Dimes is a valid organization, but I don't want to donate to them because I'm so angry about all these phone calls.

These people are relentless!  Call at 8am through 9pm.  Extremely annoying!

These people will never get another DIME (no pun intended - well, maybe a little one) from me if they don't stop this harrassment!

It's not just March of DImes and just because it's that number doesn't mean it'll be the same ppl don't be rude it's not a horrible task mail out letters WOW

I get calls from donor care center several times a day. The number that shows on my caller ID is 202-652-4595 which is an unlisted cellphone in Washington D.C. Looks like a national work from home scam.

keeps continually calling, does not leave message

I have been getting the same calls from the same "Donor Care Center" several times each night for the past several weeks. However, my caller ID shows the number to be 914-513-2853. I assume this is the same bunch of jerks. Is there any way short of changing numbers to get rid of them?

I have been getting calls from this number several times per day for several weeks now. Yesterday they called at 8:30 am. I thought they were not supposed to call before 9:00am (???).

I wish they would just leave a message on voice mail and give me the opportunity to return the call if I am interested, but of course thay won't do that. They want to bug me to death. Charity or no charity, it is a form of harrassment.

The "donor Care Center" that is on the caller ID is very deceptive. The implication is that it refers to a donor like an organ donor and it is the center of care for the organ or care of people who donate organs. Why not list "March of Dimes", well ...they know we won't answer. The cause is good, but the telemarketers killed phone sales and revenue raising. People are tired of being called day in and day out. Being on the "do not call" lists hleps, but those who enforce that cannot keep up with the complaints. It also seems to me like the calls for charitable contributions has risen considerably since the "do not call" list was formed. Maybe that is just perception, but I think there is an increase.

Rad (see post above) is full of BS. I have never donated/volunteered for MOD, nor provided any information to them, but continue to receive these calls, several times a day. These are definately random calls, not necessarily associated with previous donors or volunteers. And, if they truly wanted donations, they would leave a message or have a person at the other end of the phone!!

I used the link provided by Eric (thank you!) and filled in the form. Then I get an email apologizing for the calls but asking for my phone number!! So... if I was indeed on their 'previous donor' list they would have been able to look it up using my address, don't ya think?? The email said my number would be removed within 48 hours. We'll see.
