Called me at 9:49 pm.  I said, "Hello" several times, and then a man said something that I could not make out (he had either a very heavy accent or was speaking in a foreign language - was hard to decipher.)  He then hung up on me.

I just got a call from this "Name Not Found" number and could tell it was a call center so I didn't say anything and they hung up. If you or someone you know has been suckered or near suckered by this scam, go ahead and file a complaint with the FTC. The Complaint Assistant is here:

I got a second phone call from this person speaking with heavy accent. He said he is from Winows and I did not even listen what he has to say, I just shouted that my phone numer is registered on DO NOT CALL LIST and I am going to reports him. He asked me rudly where I am going to report him, to FBI?

Sounds like same guy called at least 3 times, he said it was Windows calling and asked for me by my name.  Very hard to understand his accent, lots of noise in background, plus bad connection with echoing on phone. The 1st time I asked him to call back because of the bad connection. The second call I asked him questions and he talked right over me like a telemarketer. Got disconnected and I thought he hung up but he called right back. He wanted me to log into my computer so he could show me dangerous downloads that were made without my knowledge.

I also just received this same call with the noise in the background of what sounds like a call center. The bad thing was he knew my last name. After his spill about Windows, I told him that it sounded like he was phishing as I don't even own a computer.....

Foreigner who barely spoke English language said he was from "Windows" and wanted me to go to my computer so he could 'show me something'. He said he wanted to fix something on my computer & I knew he wanted to gain remote access to steal personal information. I told him he wasn't making any sense and that he needed to speak more clear.  I hung up before he had a chance to say anything more.

I also got a call from this number....Heavy accent, couldn't understand...threatened to sue me...said he was from "Windows"...it is a scam. They want to gain remote control of your computer. Let's all post it on fb and get rid of them...

I also got call from this phone number. thick Indian (I think) accent- said he was from "Windows" and wanted me to type on my computer. So glad to find out it's a scam. Ran scan on my computer right away and it is fine. He was pretty rude and threatened to sue me if I hung up on him. Which I did. Then a second man with a slightly better accent called back and then he hung up on me. Now I will not answer calls from this number again.

I got a call from this guy just now.  I'm from just outside Seattle.  I told him we were all mac based here and he hung up.  He has called before and I have told him the same thing.

I get calls from this jerk or his girlfriend and I live in Oregon.  They say the same thing
about Windows.  Finally one time I played along for awhile, then asked "are you in front
of your computer", she said yes, I said see that "world" at the bottom, "yes", well click
it and in the look up box type "get f****d, it worked for awhile but am getting the calls
once again.  I asked him not to call and he said he would call everyday.

this is an identy/credit card theft scam, no one from microsoft, apple or any computer softwarre or hardware company will call you out of the blue to "help" with a problem.  if you live in the white plains area of new york, please report this number to police. this yahoo calls 2-3 times a week, tell him you don't own a computer and hang up!

Beware! this person keeps calling stating that he is calling about a problem with my "microsoft computer", this is a scam, if you are from the White Plains area of NY PLEASE report this number to police, this person is activley trying to steal identities & credit card numbers. No one from Micrsoft, Apple or any computer software or hardware company would EVER call you about a problem that you did report. Don't be a victim, hang up, no comments, report to local authorities if possible.

Got the call today and they were so pushy, caught me off guard and got into my computer. Now I don't know what to do. They took stuff off my desktop, probably got my account numbers!!

As soon as he started talking, I could tell... FAKE! It's not Windows, IDIOT, it's called Microsoft.... but, he cannot say that for Legal reasons. Indian voice, 914 area code (New York), said my computer was downloading viruses (NOT! I'm a computer GEEK, in a Very Good Company,  keeping an eye on this stuff!) So, I hung up....

This  Indian guy has been  calling me for about 2 months now.  Initially said he is from "Windows" and told me I had a problem with my hard drive,  Then he called to say I have a virus.  Each time he was pushy and rude,  Today he called demanding to know my name.  I recognised his voice and told him I knew this was a scam and that I would call the police if they didn't stop pestering my family with these calls.  He replied that he would continue to call me!  He did....

I hope they don't get anyone.

Received several calls from this number 914-567-8923 - NAME UNAVAILABLE.  

Rude and pushy saying they are calling on behalf of Windows.   Foreign accent, perhaps Indian.

About 2 months ago they said that my computer had been infected and that they were here to help me.  I declined.  About a month ago they said I had a virus.  They called just now and I recognized the same man's foreign voice.  (It is strange that they came through as a local number this time).  From the background it sounded as if the calls were being orchestrated from a call center.  

I warned the man that I knew this was a scam and that his on-going calls were becoming a nuisance to my family.  I also told him that I would call the police if they didn't stop disturbing me.  He replied that he would CONTINUE TO CALL ME!.  I then put the phone down on him.

They have just tried calling me AGAIN!

Got a call a person with a strong "Indian" accent. Said he was from "Windows Services" and asked me if I had any problems with my computer. I told him that I knew that he was running a scam, that he was scum and should be deported. I hung up. He called back Immediately. I did not answer but he left a brief message calling me an expletive. What ever you do don't let them log on to your computer, or give them a credit card.

Received a call from a man claiming to be from Windows.  He told me that I had a virus on my computer and he would help me get it off.  I played along for a little while with him, he was trying to gain remote access of my computer.

Called my mothers house while I was there. Told her he was calling about windows, very heavy foreign accent, very rude. Asked if she was alone, she told him no. Asked who was there, she said non of your business, the caller then accused her of cheating on her husband and asked how she could do that to him. She hung up.

I tool received a call from this number.....said he was calling from some Stadium and there was quite a bit of noise in the back ground.  He actually knew my first name and said his name was Alex.  He pretended that he couldn't hear/understand me and after about 30 seconds, I hung up on him.

Received a call from a man speaking with a thick indian accent.  He was saying something about my computer.  It sounded as if he was calling from a street corner.  I hung up on him.  He then called back 20 minutes later.  I hung up again.

just recieved call from 914-567-8923...very rude/pushy...foreign accent...barley understand...said from windows,,,told me he could sue me due to damage my computer caused his...told him "go right on ahead and do so" and hung up

I, too, received the same call.   They said they were from Windows.

At 3:25 pm July 20th 2012  Received a call from 9145678923 from a person speaking with a strong foreign  accent, I could not understand much of what he said, except something about my computer.  I told him I could not understand him and was hanging up, and I did.
