You should look into OOMA phone service. After an initial investment of $200. all you calls are free, but the best part is you can block whatever numbers you like as well as a well established list of telemarketers. I got a call from this # and just bloced it.

This has been happpening to me for 3 weeks. I think it is a robo sales call. It is from a celll phome in Yonkers, NY.I am thinking of reporting it to the call anooyance bureau if it continues.

I have gotten numerous calls from this number day and night over the past few weeks. The caller always hangs up when I answer.  This just happened again a few minutes ago.

I have been getting calls from this number also. no answer on the line.

I finally answered a call, but there was silence and then hang up. I called the FTC and DO NOT CALL and reported the number. I do know it is a wireless ATT number. The next step is involving the police and I have decided to go that route if I receive another call.Does anyone have any other suggestions? What exactly doe a robocall operation mean? There must be a way to stop these people. It is harassment.

Same here.  Finally I was able to answer, and she wanted to clean my chimney.  I kept telling her that I had been getting calls from there for weeks, and when I tried to return the call, I was told it was not working, she kept playing dumb, "Well, I don't know who's calling you, but I'm calling about your chimney."  I kept repeating that she doesn't have a business relationship with me, why is she calling?  She kept playing dumb, I said finally, give me the name of the company you are calling from, and she kept saying she wanted to clean the chimney.  Again, I said, well, give me the name, maybe this company doesn't exist, and she kept on about cleaning my chimney, saying, "this is a private house, right??" and I finally raised my voice and said, "GIVE ME THE NAME OF THE COMPANY" and she hung up.   I am going to report her.

The number calling is 914 707-9337 I forgot to put that in my previous post.

This number is on my caller ID every day when I come home from work. I find it very upsetting and feel as if someone is calling to see if anyone is home. I found out that it is an ATT unlisted cell number.I am gong to file a complaint with the call nuisance bureau and get the police involved. I think it is the only way to stop these calls.

I've seen this number several times on my phone. It is "a non-working number". What is this?

I just received a call from the same number. When you call it back, there is a recording that this is not a working number. I believe that it is a robocall operation collecting which numbers are working.

Thanks for that *57....its been calling my house for 2 weeks.  I try calling it back and it says its a non working number.  I think people have nothing better to do...

This is the second time I've gotten a call from this number, once last week, once this week.  Each time I have picked up, there has been no one there.  I got the same information as a previous poster that it was a wireless caller from Yonkers, NY.  I have also called *57, and it is being traced.

I noticed this number has been calling my house for about 2-weeks now. Today, I was finally able to answer the call. The lady didn't ask for me she simply said, "Mrs. Name, We've been trying to reach you regarding your roof. We are cleaning some in your area & would like to know when we can send someone out to clean yours." She wanted to know if our home used oil or something. When I tried to explain we have a service for this, she said something about the law not allowing people to clean the roofs and things regarding this issue.

I sort of probed her for more information. She said they would send two people over - one for the roof & one for the pipes to clean that warm the boiler. I was trying to see if she wanted to know my work schedule, but she didn't ask. She merely wanted someone to be home when these two individuals came over. I asked her what the charge would be and she said $49.99. PLEASE! I referred her to my attorney and blocked her from ever contacting me again. Then came online to add my story to the list. I can't stand Unknown Callers.
