Same phone call, I have also contacted my local sheriffs department and have no arrest Warrenton, it has now been a week.

I just received the same call as everyone else. The fact that you guys can understand any of this is incredible! I had such a hard time trying to understand what he was saying. I'm pretty sure he was calling for "Naomi", which I have no idea who that is either. I was able to make out something about an affidavit and me being arrested if I didn't supply my social security number.

I had this number call me about 6 months about stating his name was Eric Matthews, he also used the name Greg Jeffery's at one point and that he worked for some law firm that had received an affidavit for a case against me and that an arrest warrant was being issued for my arrest and unless I called him back their would be a sheriff at my door at 10 the next morning to arrest me.. Being scared out of my mind I called him back and he immediately started yelling at me and demanding to know why I hadn't paid back a payday loan, he never gave me a company name though. When I asked him what I could do he said I had an hour to go get a money order and call him back with the number on it and then mail it to some address in Georgia, under a woman's name.. This was the 1st red flag since the number he was calling me from was New York.. Thankfully I didn't do anything that night and decided to just see what happens.. The next morning I tried calling the number he had called me from and got no answer.. I called the local sheriff's office and asked them if I had a warrant out in my name, they proceeded to tell me no I didn't  and after speaking to a sheriff he said I should come in and file a report because this was definitely a scam.. Throughout the day this man called me several more times from numbers again in New York and Florida, then somehow he tapped into the local police stations emergency phone # and called me still stating that there would be someone to arrest me by the end of the day.. Needless to say nothing happened and I was not arrested, the next day he still called me I think 2 more times I ignored each call and then filled a complaint with the local police.. I hadn't heard anything from him for quit awhile and no yesterday he called me again saying I needed to call his office by tomorrow or a warrant was going to be issued.. His English was bad the first time he called 6 months ago, but yesterday the message was next to impossible to understand but I recognized the voice and number so did nothing to return the call.. I hate that people think that they can get away with this kind of harassment, he was very convincing and really almost had me believing him I have never been so scared after a phone call in my life.. The sad thing is after filling my report and speaking with local police and the sheriff they both told me the odds of catching whoever was doing this was very slim because almost all of these cases it is someone sitting in call center overseas and they are very hard to catch

"This is Officer ______ calling from West Coast Police Department out of North Carolina." indicating they have an arrest warrant for me and they dont know what it's for, but advise me to call the legal office at 914-920-6842 toresolve the issue.  They will be at my door this evening to arrest me

Got several calls from this person claiming to be a lawyer, most of what he says I cannot understand, but has threatened that I have a warrant etc, from some payday loan (which I didn't have) in 2011. I have repeated asked him to stop calling. This person needs to be arrested for harassment and fraud.

Just got a call from Erick Mathews claiming to be from the U.S. Legal Services stating I have a warrant if I do not call back they will be here to arrest me tomorrow at 10:30am.  First these jerks called at 5 am waking everyone up and leaving the message that scared me half to death.  I called to check myself if I had a warrant and there is absolutely no outstanding warrant for me AT ALL.  So I looked online to check him out and all of this popped up.  Total scam these people should be arrested asap!!

My fiance got a call from this number and was told that if he did not pay $580 by tomorrow, he would be arrested. They told him it was for a pay day loan in 2011. He never took out a loan. I know this is a scam and I plan to turn them in. He has been so upset over this and it makes me very mad.After reading all the other people that has had the same thing happen to them, I know when I tell him this, he will feel much better knowing he is not the only one that has had this happen.

This is all a scam, you can not get "picked up" or arrested for debt. It is a civil matter. As for threats in this day and age it always good to be on your guard. Report them to the police, FTC and the Attorney General of your state. This needs to stop now.

Lee, I just got the same exact call.  He said I had 24 hours to spend with my family and he mentioned the address of my mother and I am shaking.  I called the number back but no one ever answers it.  I have a police officer on his way over here to take a report.  My mother is elderly and he said someone would be coming by to pick me up if he did not hear from me within the 24 hour period.

I have been getting a call from these screamers too, first they started calling me from 904-342-7334 and said they were a law firm and I owed money. When I erase arched them I found out they are just scampers trying to con people out of money by scaring them and telling them they will be arrested. I called the federal trade commission and the company they said they work for. Both told me they had pending cases against these scamers. I stoped answering there phone calls and now the changed the number to 914-920-6842 and said they worked for western union but same bad accents and barly spoke English. Please people don't listen to them and file a report with the federal trade commission. Don't send them money!

Once i googled this number i beleive that they  are scammers. but i was get arrested at my home not next dy but in working week .after i noticed they are positive.So believe them they will gona  help you.

Just listened to a message from a person using this number saying he was Eric Butterfield.  At least, that's what it sounded like.  Did not speak English well.  I called the number back, and he responded.  I promptly hung up.  The message was sent Thursday, January 10.  Today is January 11.  No arrest.  Total scam.

Told me to pay $150 or they were going to kill me and I will be found behind my bushes tonight.  These goof balls can't speak english at all and when I called back 129032 times a lady answered who had no idea wtf I was talking about.  Reported to Atorney generals office and all of you should as well!  They are scamming scumbags.

Just received a call from a company that stated that they are a law firm and that they are coming after me for fraud.  Whomever this is, got my info from online.  The guy doesn not speak good english and he started swearing at me.  I told him he is nothing but a scammer and he hung up on me.
