I don't, nor have I ever had an account with this credit union. I don't even know where it is.

Sent me a TM saying same thing. I responded "Nice try jack***"

same thing happened to me just now seems like since these times are so close it's just a mass call for some scam. DO not call it back it may be your charged to connect to that number.

Someone stole info from McCoy Credit Union and is using it to phish for personal information.  You could get a message via snail mail, email, voice mail or text message.  My account has been closed for 3 years, so I went to the McCoyCU website and they knew about email.  I got a text message that showed the same number.  Don't call back or respond in anyway...that will only prove that they got some current info.  This will surely hit the news in a day or two.

Left a text message that my mccoy credit union account was closed. I suspected something was wrong since the this isn't even McCoy's phone number.

This number sent me a TM to my cell telling me that my account at a credit union (which I don't belong to), is closed due to unusual activity and I need to call them.

I got this message on my home email and my cell phone.  I DO NOT have an account with McCoy FCU. People are trying to steal anyone's identity. PLZ DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!

Same. I'm in central florida using cingular at&t, got the text message last night. Checked here first before calling though.

just don't call that number! they'll ask for ur account #s and such. how do i report phishing on the phone?? o.O

I received the same txt message and right before that I received two "Unknown" calls.  My mom also called me all paniced saying something about a McCoy bank account thing.  I'm sure for me the unknown calls weren't related but me and my mom both have Cingular/AT&T as our provider and my sister and brother in law who have Sprint have not received the msg's as of yet.

I just got the same McCoy FCU message, and am also in Central Florida

received a txt msg stating that
"Your McCoy Federal Credit Union account is closed due to unusual activity, call us at 9156134846."

McCoy Credit Union is a CU in Central Florida why would it have a long distance number to call. Another thing is I don't have an acct with this bank...Watch out for scammers!!!!!

Unknown number
