I'm on Do Not Call list, what a joke. They still call, no msg., just bothersome.

Just got a call from this number but did not answer. I've posted a reply to a poster and I'll say it again, contact your local State Attorney General. I did. Also contact your local media. The fines are not great enough to stop Robo Calls, scammers, marketeers and ID thieves because they know it's hard to track them down. The phone companies providing the technology to them need to be fined as well instead of giving them breaks.

I agree with you regarding contacting your State Attorney General's office (SAG). I did about two months ago and recently read an article that his office has been flooded with complaints. I have urged posters on this site to do so as well as contacting the local media to request they do a piece on unwanted calls and those companies that violate the DNCR. A TV station did cover this ongoing issue and basically said these companies know they are breaking the law but it hard to actually track robo calls and rotating numbers and catch them because of the many scammers and marketeers as well as ID thieves. The phone companies providing breaks and the technology to these companies need to be fined as well for abetting the violation of of the DNCR.

At least 90% of the calls on my land line are telemarketing attempts. This "wireless caller" is one of them. I never answer them. When the phone rings, I expect not to answer it. The do-not-call list rules are way too lax.
Fed Up Granny 2012-05-14 17:46:51 Unknown
Marco: You are right. We will be doomed to get these calls UNTIL we ban together and demand our phone carriers develop a way for us to block these calls. Currently, I cannot block Toll free or 800 numbers and only 8 other numbers at a time. I have Charter for my land line and I keep my cell on off. They can make their technology work for us and we need to demand that they do it. If we all use disposal phones for a few month and cancel our carriers....they would improve the technology in a NY minute!

These people keep calling but they must be "ghosts calls" 'cause there is never anyone there when I answer. I bought a whistle at Targets and if, or when, I do get some one on the line, I'm going to play a Irish ditty in their ear! Is there no one who can stop these scum from calling?

I asked to be removed from the list and the guy called me a C*cks*cking Fa*got.
I want to know who they are and turn them in.

I have tried blocking this number and any others from this company everyday numerous times. They keep calling back from another number. I've pressed the number to speak with someone and they hand up immediately.

Recieved this call this morning. My caller Id said it was a wireless caller so that lets me know its some scam artist. I didn't answer. All I did was pick up the phone and set it down. After about 10-15 seconds it disconnected. I am on the do not call list and this proves that doesn't work. And if it is a credit card crap scam wanting to lower my interest rates they need to check their facts better because I only have one credit card with not that high of a balance. This is getting very annoying.

I keep getting calls from this number. I have a no call list but they still call me....

Stop calling!!
YCD 2012-05-09 15:37:32 Unknown
Here we go again........now they call me with another #. It is VERY annoying.
Thanks to caller ID, I do not answer.
There is a way to screw up their computer; but I am not sure...anyway, I was told to answer the call & when they start talking, PRESS THE POUND # NON STOP, that will make the day for the person who called You.
Let's do something about this........good week-end to all.

I received a call from this number. I hit "1" to find out more information since it was a recording. I asked the man who answered who the company was and he hesitated - then said "Card Member Services for Visa and MasterCard". I asked him to remove my number as it was an unsolicited telemarketing call. He hung up on me when I said "unsolicited". I have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call registry. I agree with a response above - incredibly rude.

they call all the time and don't leave a message.
Mary G 2012-05-08 22:42:44 Unknown
This number shows up as from"wireless caller", and is another location for the same bogus credit card message that I get from multiple other fake numbers. I report them, but nothing seems to change and the frequency of this irritation is increasing.

Robot calls wouldn't stop during business hours so I hit one. Seem to be a credit card scammer. Refused to believe that this is a business. Blocking the call.
Sheila Bohman 2012-05-08 21:01:03 Unknown
I get 2-3 of these unknown calls each and every day except on the weekends. Thank goodness for caller ID but is there some way to get rid of them permanetly?. This has been going on for many years.

For anyone that can FORWARD a selective set of phone numbers (like Comcast customers)... try putting this number on your forward list... send them to the REJECTION HOTLINE @ 303-218-9999.
Try it... you will be able to get other numbers in your own state.
Have fun...

Do not call again, please!

Robocall announcing that this was the "second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rates" and to press a number to get the terms and conditions, etc. "Again this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus."
You know what? These crooks make me sick. If you get one of these scam calls, hang up. Do not press any number to speak to anyone because they will only curse at you, laugh at you, or just hang up. It is so not worth the aggravation. Additionally, you are letting them know that your phone number is real. So just hang up, add them to your phone's address book under SCAM or block the number if you can. Since they are spoofing the Caller ID information that we see, you will have to do this multiple times.
Last, but not least, report each and every call we receive to www.donotcall.gov. These calls are illegal. They need to have the information about how many people are being harassed in order to go after these crooks, so we all need to report them.
Cutbacks in government programs are not helping matters and that's why it seems like the do not call list doesn't work. Do not give up! Report each and every scam call to www.donotcall.gov.

I have, in the past, filed many complaints with the FCC for the seemingly endless number of violators to the 'Do Not Call Registry?. Although this has proven to be effective and has prevented specifically identified violators from calling again there will always be more idiots who choose to do so. I have since applied all of my valid incoming telephone call numbers with ?special unique? assigned ring tones and I do not answer any incoming call that activates the ?standard? ring tone. With the ?special? ring tones the desired calls can be easily identified from a distance and even before looking at the callerid! One needs not be interrupted from daily activities by having to rush to answer an undesired and intrusive phone call. I advise facilitating this logical ?solution?. It is very easy, takes only a few minutes and it will solve nearly all of the problems by immediately identifying the intrusives. Unfortunately, as with all technologies, the uniquely and specially assigned identifying ring tones don?t activate 100% of the time because nothing is completely accurate (in rare instances ?desired? calls may activate the ?standard? ring tone) but since I took this course of action many months ago I have discovered that it performs as designed about 95-98% of the time. I understand that we are all aggravated by the inconsiderate idiots who push their products and services or attempt to obtain money or our personal information when it is our desire and our right to be left alone. We pay for the use of our phones and these other ignorant a$$holes have no right to take advantage of them. I have chosen to live by the philosophy ?ignore the ignorant?. It is up to all of us to personally take actions to ensure that our own rights are protected because others are focused entirely on themselves and their desires for personal gain. If no one chose to answer (yes, we have a choice) these intrusively ignorant phone calls all of the efforts of those undesirables would be in vain. Please take a few minutes to give this identification method a try ? if you do not feel that it helps then you can always reconfigure the phone numbers back to their original specifications. I sincerely hope that this ?solution? helps. It has proven to work for me!

This person called about "lowering my credit card interest" and they were not from my credit card company, nor did they identify who they were or what company they were calling from. When I requested that they take me off their calling list, they hung up. When I tried to call this number, there was a recording that the person I called was unavailable.
I went on line and filed a complaint with the FCC. It took about 10 minutes. I would encourage everyone do this.
If you register with the do not call list you may also have an option to file a law suit.

I moved from Denver to Singapore and ported my telephone number.
In Denver and also in Singapore I received regular calls from a company implying that I needed to resolve a credit card issue. I tried to stop the company but each time I actually attempted to communicate with the telemarketer I was hung up on. I had thought the company was located in Florida but the 916 number is California.
I agree that the govt should be more protective of incoming calls in our homes.
