BLOCKED!!!
GS 2014-05-30 14:39:56 Telemarketer
Just got a call from 916-313-4201 saying they were reviewing my file on my car. Strange enough, they knew my car year and model. I asked, " how did you get this number?" as it was my work phone which I never give out for personal use. They hung up. I tried to call back and it said the line was disconnected? Scam Scam Scam.... Where is the FCC when you need them? This type of activity is not only bad for business, but is an area that our communication services cellular and local land line services) should provide an easy way to report, track and prosecute. How much money is lost via scams? In addition, it scares people to actually do business with legitimate companies who are calling and offering a "real" service or product.

These idiots have called me a few times. I've answered each time and told them to take me off their list. It's some con to try to sell you an extended warranty on a car.
Kirk 2014-05-14 22:44:53 Unknown
Claims it was Honda. I do own a Honda. But the number was from Cali and I live in NJ. In any case I didn't feel like renewing my factory warranty.

I have received a call almost every single day over the past week from this number. I have not answered, but I have seen on numerous websites that this is a scam.
Pacesetter 2014-01-31 18:25:30 Unknown
Same number called today and yesterday. When I returned the call today, it ringed, and then disconnected.
J 2014-01-29 15:54:34 Unknown

J 2014-01-29 15:54:12 Unknown
Called 2 times this week. I never answer and they never leave a message. This is a total scam people, do not fall for it.
J 2014-01-29 15:51:51 Unknown
As stated, this is a scam, they never leave a message and have repeatedly called me for the last few days.
They also use the number 916-313-4202.

Caller ID said Bank of America which is why I answered. When I answered they said they were United Auto Alliance and wanted to sell me a protection plan for my 2004 Toyota Camry. They were pretty pushy and I think rude.
My 2012-09-11 17:15:06 Debt Collector
I got a call from this number and the ID showed Bank of America. This caller did not bother leaving a message, the real BofA ALWAYS leave a message even if it is an answering machine. I think this is a collection agency who bought an account from BofA when it got charged off.

916-313-4201 called left short msg on my answering machine. Bank of America. I would not trust them with any information. A bank usually sends documents when they want something, So don't give them a thing. Go to your bank and complain then see if they really needed to talk to you. Stupid people at the banks as well. Just say no toBOA
Michele 2011-06-06 21:07:04 Unknown
It is an automated call from Bank of America but when I picked up phone, there was no person on the other end nor any message. I called the # back & a recording explains that they are following up to a recent time I used their help (I had called when I misplaced my credit card), & I was to call a DIFFERENT toll-free # to complete their brief survey as a follow up. Not a bad idea, but I don't appreciate automated calls & being hung up on, nor being inconvenienced to call other #s. If I hadn't called that # back, I wouldn't know to call them back at a different # to answer their follow up call, which I don't plan to do.
mystery 2011-06-06 21:07:04 Unknown
i got an called from them and we answered so i called back but block my number on another phone the same thing they said o wow i know its a scam
S from TX 2011-06-06 21:07:04 Unknown
Called my work # twice yesterday afternoon late and once this morning. I was in my office this morning, therefore answered the call. The recording states BOA following up on a recent claim. My work number is not the number I have on file with BOA, so the call is very much unappreciated.

A call from this number rang our phone. My wife answered and they disconnected.
trebuchet 2011-06-06 21:07:04 Unknown
Called at 7:30 PM. I answered the phone-&they hung up. We have an account with them, but there is a zero balance on it.
Robin 2011-06-06 21:07:04 Unknown
I had the same experience. This is what I did. Make sure you are on the National Do Not Call Registry. Then file a complaint for them violating it. I googled Do Not Call Registry for my state and then found a place to report them. Make sure you are on a government website and not another scammer.
