Calling at 2:30 in the morning

Is anyone else getting calls from this number at 2:30 in the morning?

Someone has to tell these people that they are SUPER annoying! I keep coming home to a billion messages from their fax machine! I need to block that number. Putting them on the Do Not Call Registry right now.

Fax machine will not stop calling for past 2 weeks.

This is for Blue Shield CA. I submitted a request for an application and they are calling to see if I had any questions on their plans.

Getting fax/modem call from this number. Very annoying...

Today was the first time I've ever received a call from this number.  The lady left a message saying that she was calling from Blue Shield.  She was checking to see if I was still interested in insurance info.

Yes - these people are idiots who apparently cannot enter a fax number in correctly.  This along with the fact they have their fax machine set on a very large number of redials

916-350-6001 is the main incoming telephone number for the telecom department at Blue Shield in the Folsom CA area.  My guess is they are a call center for harrassing citizens into buying their insurance.
I received about 40 attempts to call my home/business number over a two day period with their fax machine.  The combination of some BS idiot entering a wrong number and an autodialer on the fax set for 15 attempts every five minutes makes life uncomfortable.  I tried to call them to get it to stop and was unsuccessful.  Finally, I called from my cell phone and told them I need to fax something to them on their 800 toll free number.  Then I sent them about 30 pages of the same thing asking them to take my number off of their fax machine.
So - if this happens to you - their toll free fax number to their sales office is 800-783-1279
Just FAX them a piece of your mind about 1,000 times starting about midnight.  Maybe cleaning out the paper tray will get their attention.

it is not data mining.  it is blue shield of CA.  some sort of confirmation fax or something

We have been getting faxes to our general number.  I just called this number (916) 350-6001 and a very nice lady apologized and said that someone must have input information wrong.  She was very nice and assured me that she would block our number.  Hopefully that will put a stop to the problem.

916-350-6001 is the default Caller ID # that shows up when Blue Shield of California is trying to contact you.  They are not calling to "harrass citizens" as you claim.  If the calls you get are tonal (aka fax tones), just call Blue Shield, provide them with the number they are dialing and the information will be sent throughout the company via email advising that the responsible party must cancel the fax.  
If you're an @$$ when you call in, which I'm guessing was your problem, based on the "tone" of your message here, you may not get your number taken off as quickly as you might hope.  So, be polite, don't go faxing them thousands of pages and you'll stop getting the calls.

It is Blue Cross

I faxed a change form to Blue Shield of California and immediately got a return call with a fax tone.  I'd turned off the fax machine so I was annoyed by the call.  I started getting the same call every five minutes so I turned the FAX back on and received one page.  It was an auto reply from Blue Shield for the fax I had just sent.

I get fax machine tones too just now from this number.

Beware!  Identity Theft!  They may also be "data mining/phishing" you for personal information.

This call was from Blue Shield of California.  They were calling me back about a claim that I have which is still being processed.
The lady who called from Blue Shield of California left me a message
stating she had a resolution to my claim.  So if you get a call from this number and our insured by them, they may be trying to contact you to send you a check!

We receive calls from this number but it has a fax tone and we get 20-30 calls in a row daily.  I called Verizon and they are sending a complaint over to the fax number to cease calls.

I also et calls from this number. I think they sell health insurance for Blue-shield of Calif.

I keep getting a call from this number numerous amount of times and its just a tone at the end.  Its is becoming annoying i have got 10 calls in the last 10 minutes.
