This number called me at 6:30 am claiming that they are handling a VA referral. They asked for birthdate and social security number and became hostile when I told them I do not give that information to people who call me on the phone.  No legit company would call at 6:30 am from a 5:30 am time zone.

I just posted a minute ago. I decided to *67 the call as I was waiting for HNFS to call LAST week. All I got when I called was "the number is out of service"....

Received my call at 8:16am. Did not answer it as today is election day and thought that is what it was all about. Caller ID said "California Call". No message. But, we do have TriCare and have been talking to them a number of times in the last week about a referall. Still, I do not answer calls I do not know. If you are ligit, then you should have no problem saying, in this case if true, HNS (Health Net Sevices).

I received a call from this number 2x today.  The second time I answered.  I am a disabled veteran and had an appointment made for me which was outsourced (not available at the VA).  

I received calls from this number and it turned out to be OK. It appears that the Veterans Affairs contracts out health services through Health Net Federal Services and that HNFS uses what I expect is a metered outgoing call service, in an attempt to reduce costs.

But I would also expect the the telephone service company used to make the call has many other clients that use their service. Maybe that company vets all their clients to filter out spammers and maybe they don't.

After using *67 to hide my TP number, I called the number back and spent 15 minutes on the phone from the guy while he looked up information as to who and why I was called, before I would give him any information. I was researching the name of the organization he claimed to be calling from, while on hold, of course.

I was expecting a health appointment call and that is why he said I was called. So I did finally give him some info so he could confirm my identity and then he did provide me with the appointment information for the expected type of appointment, but more importantly it wasn't another sales call!!!!!

I just received a call from this number. A women left a message saying they had some important information regarding upcoming appointments I had. She said she was from health net. I am in the VA system, not tricare, and the VA does not operate that way. I returned call to this number and got that old school modem type sound and a voice prompt indicating the number is not in service or disconnected.  Sounds like a scammer to me.

I got a call and a reference number of two letters. I do indeed have tricare but a di-alpha "reference number" doesn't sound right. I'm not giving them any info over the phone since this was fishy. I tried calling back the number they actually called from and I got a message saying it was disconnected and then I called the 888 number and I got a fishy sounding recording. If they want anything from me they can send me hard copy info in the mail. I get info from health net all the time but this doesn't seem right.

I also received a missed call from this number, no message.  I re-dialed the number from my cell & received a 'this # is disconnected message'... go figure.  I do think it is a Health Net Number because I have a pending application.  Would have been nice if they would leave a message.  Not sure how the same number could be disconnected after receiving the call on the same day?!

I just got a call from this number, she said from Healthnet ...ask me date of birth & address etc...It's a scam !

This was a call from Health Net which works directly with TRICARE PRIME...  They were just calling to notify me that an extension I requested on a referral to a specialist was approved and that I would be getting snail mail in a few days as well.  Nothing malicious about this call.

Another scam call. Be careful out there!

I had this happen to me the caller asked for my husband name, and I called tri care they don't know nothing about this plus they said they do not have this number as one of the numbers with the network. when I tried calling the number was disconnected and tri care tried to call and the same thing number disconnected. I refuse to give anytype of information to them they couldn't tell me what it was containing too.

I've been receiving calls from this number.  No one says a thing when I answer...vise versa, when I call it back.

I got a call from this number and a message saying that it was health net tricare and they needed me to call them back regarding a letter they sent me in the mail.  I called the number back and the only option was for a carribbean cruise.  It is a scam.

i just recieved a call from this number and i did not answer cuz i didnt know it. A lady left a message saying she was from Healthnet Tricare and for me to call back an 800 number and leave a msg if no one answered with a reference code she gave me in the msg. i called back and their voicemail says something about beneficairies..i left a voicemail but havent recieved a call back yet. not sure what this is about at all.

This is a Number for Healthnet Federal Sevices, which handles the military Tricare health insurance program.

I just received a call from this caller, this is a scam!! They call saying that there was a new service added on to tri care, this is insurance for military personnel but im sure they target non military also. They wanted me to provide them with my birthdate and address. Common since  told me that why would they need this information, I been in the military for over nine years and they already know this information if anything Tri care would ask me information had I called them SCAM!!

I am concerned about whoever is calling from this number.  They say "Health Net", or "Health Net - Tricare" but Tricare and Health Net Federal Services are twp separate entities who do business together and they should never use both names.  My concern is that this is a scam and they are targeting military, retirees and ex-military for identity theft.

Health Net Federal Services is contracted to handle Tricare for the North region ONLY.  They are based and operate from Myrtle Beach, SC.  As such they have no need to have a call center in California.

Be very careful about what you share and what the want to know.  I will not be talking to them any time soon, thats for sure.

Called and asked for me by name. They said it was Michelle. When told I was at work and given my work number they asked for me to call them later. No one ansered on Saturday when I called back

Supposedly this number is from an insurance company, but they don't leave any sort of message and don't answer when I call back.

I received a call from Ana from California.  She said she was from Medicare.
She told me that my New York state insurance license expired June 1 and asked me to send her a copy of my license. My original license was issued May 31,2007 and expires May 31, 2010.  I did fax her a copy of my Insurance license for New York.  This is public information and can be found on New York State web site.

Called my cell and then my work phone.  When I answered work phone, I was told it was a wrong number.

They asked for my husband and I told them he was not home so they said they would call back. Husband tried to call them later and no one answered.

This number is Health Net of California. Notification that a group has not paid thier monthly dues.

That number called my cell phone, didn't leave a message. then Called my U.S. Goverment work phone.

called my phone twice in one day.

The worst part about all of this is that in all of our cases they have never left a voice mail for us and that they don't seem to answer when we call them back.

This number called me during school, and he said that I had called him and hoped it wasn't important and to call back. No answer.
