I received a call from a slightly different number 916-437-0322 which came up on the CI as "MAXIMUM SECURITY" but they didn't leave a message...I thought it was someone in jail trying to reach somone on the outside and got the wrong number.

Got a call from Maximum Security.  They didn't bother to leave a message.  I have caller id, and I will never answer these scammer calls.

I got a call from Maximum Security.  The caller offered to give me a free home security system.  I told him that was suspicious and he laughed.  I told him I wasn't interested, I already have a home security system.  He said it was outdated.  I thought that was out of place for a sales man to say, so I knew it was a scam.  Then he told me not to cut him off when he was speaking! WTF?!  My gun and my dogs are not outdated, a-hole.

I answered and this guy launched into his spiel (about a security system) in such a slow and deliberate voice that i was sure it was a recording meant to sound realistic.  Then he turned out to be dumber.  I told him i no longer live in the same state as he thought I did, he at first exhibited density too thick to grasp the concept, sputtered at my misinterpretation of what he was selling as a 'security patrol', and then became incredulous that i was politely wishing him well but telling him in no uncertain terms that i was not interested and that the conversation was over.  He finally lapsed into silence, seeming to try to find a witty enough response to humble me in the error of my ways, and then i hung up on him.  i did tell him i hope he has success, cause i thought he was a local small business from my home state, but now i regret it
