I have received several calls from 916-469-8864 claiming they with the state attorney's office and got the full score as mentioned in the previous messages here about this number They are so obvious, quite stupid and kept calling very irritating. Ran a trace on there call did not get exact location but did find that it was a Magic Jack(MJ) connection. I discussed this situation with MJ on 4/18/2014. I have just received an email from MJ and no one should be getting calls from this number as of Tuesday evening 4/22/2014 MJ tells me that there are fraud charges and the number is disconnected.

Okay so apparently Charges are being filed against me.. Towards my social security number and my email. So there's 3 charges,
Violation of Banking, calatoral check fraud, and theft by deception,,
So in order to stop the Sheriffs from going to where I work or live to be arrested,
If I was able to settle out of court

Like no.. This should be like written on some type of legal letter sent to me! Maybe even a scheduled appointment in person but
Over the phone and on a federal tap
No all I know is they have my information and threatening me with jail or prison and I need to send money now
Once I started asking questions.. They hung up

I received 6 calls from this number within minutes.  2 voicemails were left.  1st one a man with a heavy indian accent was saying, "Alow Alow Alow is anyone there? Alow Alow"  Then the 2nd voicemail I received was the same as everyone else saying my SS# was associated with legal matters so on and so forth.  Gave the name of John something which I knew this not to be true because I could barely understand him with the thick indian accent.  This # now has been blocked just wish I could block them from leaving voicemails...GGGRRR
If this was a true debt collector they wouldn't leave messages like this (which the message left to me is against the law and I saved it).  The message would say if this is not blah blah please hang up then there will be a short pause, then say if this is blah blah please call us back at such and such phone # for an important business matter.
Isn't it funny when you look at the dates of posts on here how they all began in April?  

Got several calls from this number saying my ss# was associated with legal matters and if I didn't call back or have my lawyer call back he could only wish me luck as I will be arrested.  Also left a name of Jason Miller, clearly not, as he had a very heavy accent.  The first time I answered and told him that I did not owe money to anyone and hung up on him. He has persisted in calling me several times and leaving messages. One he gave a different name, but it was clearly the same voice with the heavy accent.  Loud background noise of other's making calls as well.

I'm so over this number calling 916-469-8864 me...speaking in an accent barely able to understand.  Saying legal action has been started against my SS#.  

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

File reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

these people answer the phone saying attorney generals office ...DEFINITELY NOT AN ATTORNEY
they cant even speak english...they give out socials like its the thing to do...they DEMAND PAYMENT
or they will pretend to be the police and say your gonna get arrested..this guy BRANDON GABRIEL states
that this is his attorneys office and that all these people are his assistants..LIES LIES LIES...everything they

I just received yet another call from Mr. Eric Johnson and I called back and he answered Attorney General's office. I told Mr. Johnson that if he continued to call and harass me that I would report him to the locals. He told me that the only way he would stop calling me is if I died! Really!! Very professional...Not the attorney gerneral's office, not even a legit business. Don't waste your time with these idiots!

Had this happen to me as well. When I said I wanted to call back after calling my mom who is an attorney, he told me I couldn't. He called himself Frank Morell, who is actually an immigration attorney in San Diego. He also told me I wouldn't not be allowed to discuss my case with my attorney or family. He allowed me to three-way the call and my mom laughed, called his bluff and he ultimately hung up after being put on blast. After her and I finished our conversation, we contacted the FTC and reported it. They have called my desk line and my cell phone multiple times but after reporting them, they have not contacted since. Hope the government can actually catch these guys.

I received 2 voicemails from Eric Johnson stating he was from the attorney generals office as well, he has been trying to get a hold of me for 2 days. He even went as far as calling on my desk phone? He said that I had legal issues and recited the last 4 numbers of my social security number.  He said that if i didnt have an attorney, i needed to contact his  senior attorney regarding this matter because the criminal matter was going to court today.  When he gave me the number to contact the senior attorney, it was exactly the same number he was calling from?  When i informed him of that he began to studder and gave me 916-469-8869, and stated that i need to call immediately as soon as i hung up.  SCAM!!!! I didnt call anyone, this has happened to me once before, so i googled it....thank you for posting your experience, it confirmed my suspicion and hope my post helps someone else.

I received 2 seperate calls from this number. First one at 7:34am and second at 9:26am. Both times a man with a very heavy accent left me a voicemail saying he was Eric Johnson from the State's Attorney General's office. I called back and he answered the phone Attorney General's office. I told him I did not believe that it was the Attorney General he went silent and hung up on me. I tried to call back several times but he kept hanging up on me. SERIOUSLY...I have you on a recorded message portraying yourself as an official State employee. I have reported this to my local government and the FTC. I am sure there isn't anything they can do or will do but these scams must be stopped.

This is a scam collection outfit.  When I told them I was a lawyer and asked for their address they hung up.  They threaten the clients with arrest if they do not make payments. This is against the law.  They even went so far as to fake a call from the police department.  They will not even give their name.  Don't fall for this.

I received several calls on my cell from a man with a very heavy accent. Lots of background noise like a room full of people making similar calls. Claims my name and SS # are connected to legal issues.
