They left a message asking for someone I didn't know. I told them wrong number the lady apologized and removed it.

Lots of different things posted here, so i decided to look into it.

I spoke to chase my mortgage company and apparently they took the mortgage out as FHA loan where fannie mae is the insurer of that loan. So i got on fannie mae's site and found they had mortgage help centers 2 in CA. So i called thee guys back realtime or whatever they are called as they said they schedule the appts for it, I I asked lots of questions trying to play dumb, but they already had everything on their side and they emailed me a packet which matched the one i found online, they didn't ask any personal or probing questions just setup an appt to speak to fannie mae which I did. Lo and behold fannie mae called me when they were suppose to.

okay i confirmed if they are calling you regarding fannie mae they are NOT calling to collect, as they only schedule appointments for them. after i spoke to them once the next person was a confirmed fannie mae rep at a mortgage help center.in Sacramento. i found more info on knowyouroptions.com

caller 916 526 0182 would not identify, asked for husband. this is wife's cell number.

My guess would be scam artists. They have called my number more than once looking for my mother's husband who never lived here and was never associated with this number.

This number calls daily, sometimes two three times a day. Always a hangup.

Are they truly representing Fannie Mae...or are they scam artists?
