I received a phone call Thursday February 26th at 8:00 at night and was accused of owing Executive Travel over $400 for a vacation I took in March of 2004.  I was apparently supposed to attend a timeshare meeting and becausee I never did I owed them the money.  However, if I paid them immediately I could get most of money back if I attended a different timeshare meeting in the next 48 months.  The man on the phone was INCREDIBLY rude and intimidating. He kept accusing me of credit card fraud and saying he was recording the phone call to use in court and by the end of it he said my husband and I were going to end up in jail!!!!!  In the end, we didn't give him any money and I found this site that confirmed this as a fraud.  For more stories and additional numbers look under 224-795-7063.  I am sure there are many more.  Whatever you do, don't give them any money this is a total scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the third time they have tried to pull this scam on me. Contacting the Better Business Bureaus isn't doing anything (they just grab a different business license in a different state.)

IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TO HAPPEN TO THESE PEOPLE YOU SHOULD DO WHAT I DID:

Call the hotel/casino who's name they are using and ask for the LEGAL or MANAGEMENT department and tell them what is going on and refer them to the web pages about these numbers here!

They are the one's who are having their business name dragged through the mud by these scammers and they are the ones that can do something about it (SUE THEM!)

I also received a call from this number. They said they were calling from Executive Travel for First Class Travel. The supervisor that got on the line threaten me with fraud if I did not pay $459.00. A fee he said I owed for not attending a timeshare presentation that he said I supposely agreed upon. He was very convincing because he knew my husband's and my name; the dates that we were in Las Vegas, which was 4 years ago; and the credit card we used while we were there. He said his name was Michael Green. I asked him to email me the agreement and the proof of a $25.00 deposit that I supposely had sent 4 years ago for some timeshare presentation agreement. Now I feel like a dummy because I did give him my credit card # after I received these in an email. This occurred on 2-27-09. I have been checking my bank acct to see if $459.00 has been withdrawn. As of 3-20-09 it has not. I am going to talk to my bank to see if I can stop payment on this if they do try to withdraw this amt.

I got a call in Mid December 08 - claiming that I owed $400.00 Plus on a trip to Las Vegas and I did not attend a Timeshare presentation in 2003
If I did not give my CC # it was going to be turned over to a Collection agency - The person on the phone was VERY agressive - I ended up hanging up on him - Then on February 25, 2009 I received a another call - this person was "nicer" but still wanted my CC # - and from me to pay $400.00 plus on the same Timeshare prestantion - this time "if" I paid then I could get my money back by attending a Timeshare Presentation - IF I did not pay itwas going to get turned over to a Collection Agency - He knew my name and address - I did not give any information

Lovely.   I had a couple  of missed calls from last night and checked the callerid.  One was from this number...no message of course but I was not too surprised to see it was these idiots again.   The first call was in early December which is the ONLY time I have talked to them.  Lucky for them I have not been here for the other 5 or  6 times they have called.

I have already filed a complaint with my states Attorney Generals Office and the South Florida BBB but it looks like it's time to escalate and report them to the:
Federal Trade Commission
Bureau of Consumer Protection
Consumer Response Center
600 Pennsylvania Ave NW,
Washington, DC 20580             PH 877-382-4357

Greedy, unscrupulous people like these idiots should be in jail.

Very good advice. I track these guys every day and I see they are popping up again with a different company name and numbers which I will add to my site www.consumersteam.com
I wish everyone would respond the way you did, unfortunately, these guys scare people to death and SO MANY end up giving their credit card numbers and then have to fight to get the credit card credited back... which is exactly what happens if they ask their credit cards to help them get their money back... please file all complaints with BBB and Florida etc if there is any thing I can do let me know I have talked to many consumers on the phone arming them with information to help get their money back. flintwindsor@gmail.com
Please leave any phone numbers, the people you talked to and the company name now being used if you will so I can add them to my site and consumers can track them on the internet faster and easier.
Respectfully, Kathy

Looks like I got a similar call a couple of hours before your post.  The caller ID on the phone showed 916-550-6056, however the number they told me they were calling from was 866-467-0549.  Based on what I read on http://www.callercomplaints.com/SearchResult.aspx?Phone=916-550-6056, it looks like the 916 number is spoofed.

It was also interesting to note that within seconds of me discussin this with the original caller, I was connected with the supervisor.  And again, within 2 seconds the head of their legal department was on the phone.  I'm turning the matter over to the local authorities and will notify the Florida BBB as well as the FTC of this issue.

Thank you for this service. It has helped and I was aware of the scam beforehand....When the caller identified himself as a collection agency for some time share company, I told him that I bet it was for something around $400 for some timeshare I never attended...I told him I was aware of the scam, seen it posted on the Internet. I also said that if I did owe them anything that they need to send it to me via mail for me and my lawyer to respond to. He said, "ok and good bye"....

PS- they call from one number and when you answer it, no one is at the other end. They then they know you're "fresh meat" and phone you from another number with the person at the other end trying to get you to give them your credit card number...Be safe! Never give your credit card number to someone over the phone, especially when they solicit you and say you owe them money! Tell them to give it to you in writing if you are uncertain!
