Do not think that this is a gift scam company - think it is coming from West Sacramento CA  Called the number back and said to hold for a representative and then recording was saying something about prizes/gifts.  Think it is a bogus recording

Don't think that this number is coming from India - think it is coming from West Sacramento.  Many of the 916 numbers are also used in India - doesn't explain why you have to dial a 1 to connect through yet you are disconnected after it asks you about prizes.  It appears to be a spoofed telephone number.

Found a website that says that 916-580-0042 is a harshad telephone number, which means that telemarketing calls can be made free of charge where they use it to obtain personal information/money or both.  Don't answer 916-580-0042.  They leave no messages.

Debt Collector or Telemarketer

Received several telephone calls from 916-580-0042.  That same day received several a call from 717-121-28765.  Was able to google and find that 717-121-28765 (yes with an extra 5 on the end) was WAKA Industries.  Began receiving numerous calls from both numbers.  They boombard your telephone with calls.  It is a BOT calling about a survey and that they will give you a gift card.  DON"T ANSWER YOUR TELEPHONE TO ANY CALL YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE AND DON'T GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION IF YOU DO ANSWER THE CALL.

A map search on Spoekeo Reverse Telephone Lookup shows a map with this number and it supposedly is coming from Industrial Blvd. in Roseville CA.  The Indian Mobile Phone search also says it is from the city of Bihar in India.

Searched and found that 916-580-0042 was a call that originated in Bihar Jaharhand India.  If you search Indian Mobile Phone Numbers you'll find a lot of the 916 area code phone numbers.  Could be a debt collector or a telemarketer using CA area code.

Received numerous telephone calls from 916-580-0042.  They leave no message.  Found a complaint that stated it was a Robo Call and that the complaintant spoke to a live person and asked them to stop calling and the person said that there was nothing that they could do.
