This number called me looking for my grandson, said he was being investigated . Not true! Some kind of scam going on here!

The person keeps stating they are a private investigator and they want to speak to me about a investigation.It's a voice recorded message that is left on the answering machine.

This number has called me several times but I don't answer numbers I don't know but they somehow got my landlord's phone number & called her, they told her they were investigating me about check fraud, which is completely bogus because I haven't even had a checking account in years so I can't be writing any fraudulent checks!

When the machine picked up caller hung up.

Received the computer call at thehouse during the work day - called back at 2:30 California time (foundout later it was CA don't know why I didn't check first) got a machine and no matter what buttons I pushed and left my work number - they haven't phoned back - gosh I hope I didn't trigger trouble.

I received a message one day from 716-748-62445 leaving a message about Check Fraud Investigation. The following day I received another message from 916-637-9602 stating the same thing.  When returning both calls all you get is a voice mail.
