This is about the 4th call I received from this number.  I searched on line and it is a landline phone in Sac.

Called at 6:44pm - left no message.

It's the Sacramento Bee... They use this number sent with "unknown" in the CID Text field when you don't answer they calls from one of their toll free lines. After getting about 3 calls a day from them and no message, I finally picked it up and got a sales pitch to send a new coupon book that they are giving free to former bee subscribers... I told them no, and that I do not wish to do any business free or otherwise with their company. They won't stop calling as they use the fact (or the loophole in the Do not Call Law) that since we had a business relationship in the past, they can call me.

Same complaint.  Answer the phone, greet "the caller", no response then a hangup.

Thanks so much for letting me know that 916 760-7123 is the Sacto Bee.  I had another hang up tonight!

Just got a call from this number. I could hear someone typing on a keyboard in the background, but they didn't respond when I said "hello".

Calls and leaves no message.

Sacramento Bee, they use this number if you have call blocking and block the Caller ID from there Toll Free Number. I cancelled the bee over a year ago, and they keep calling with "offers". I didn't quite due to the price... I quit because I hate the paper, the company, and it's "reporting" of it's views as "news".

That number just called again...what can we do?

Just got a call from that number, my answering machine picked up -they hung up.  I called back--it just rang.

same here for the last 2 nights.
