I think when you go on the do not call list you get even more BS calls like this.

they just called me, luckily i missed it...left no vm

this is geting on my nerves they are calling all the time and never says anything, the call come in two or three times a day seven days , an late evens geting tired ..........................\

"records for an invalid number"!!!  An INVALID number.  This is because it was a spoofed and therefore not a working number!!!

Although the number contains the correct number of digits (10, counting the area code) it's still not a valid phone number despite the first six (916-877) numbers being real exhange numbers ... the rest isn't! Thus, this is a spoofed number and probaly those behind it used a VOIP service!!!

Also this exhange (the 877 part is relatively new, only 2 yrs old) is for the northern part of Scacramento ... for those who are in Sac, just think North Sac (as in Del Paso Hts and/or North Highlands) and you get the picture ... gang areas!!!

? If the number is unfamiliar and not to any business you know don't pick up/don't answer and don't call back or press any number. Data mining - doing any of these only tells them they reached a live number and the calls to your number will not only continue but increase as well as be placed on a suckers list that's shared with other scammers

? Robo-dialers used
? Pre recorded messages
? Either a utility, mortgage, credit card rate reduction is supposedly offered
? Some times it's a phony survey (actual time share scam) or a supposed home security system scam (even if you are in an apartment or already have a home security system installed in your home)
? Calls made blatantly made to numbers on the Do Not Call List
? Always use Caller ID spoofing (and always for malicious purposes ... to rob you of all your money to your identity [ID Theft]
? Offshore Call Centers/Boiler Rooms usually used by them
? Eirher pretty much always using cell phones and/or VOIP services used in their scams

All above are used in each phone scam!!! You get a call that fits any or more likely all of the above ... it's a scam!!!

Block/blacklist it!!! Report it!!!
There are either call management devices available as well, or you can use services such as Google Voice to at least indidually stop these harassing illegal calls from these lowlife slimeball criminals!!
Everything they do is illegal ... sad part is, because they ARE criminals, they don't care and won't stopped unless they are ... for good!!
