Called me twice...both times during dinner. This carpet cleaning (?) company has called from FL and TX as well. Is there anything the phone company can do to stop these robo calls if the Government won't? ENOUGH. If I wanted any of these services I would call a legitimate one.

Called me, I answered, and they hung up.
If this is really a cleaning service then you can start by cleaning my number off of your list.
Other sites report this number as a source for scam calls involving threats of arrest for non-payment of a loan (I look forward to that one) or requests to have you install yahoo instant messenger to conduct an interview (and infect your computer with malware - they don't mention that part), and the usually scams.  Beware!

After a long time not hearing from these scammers, they started calling again. The only thing they seem to want to clean out is your wallet.

I also just received the same phone call as others here.  They call a few times just about every day.  I've put my phone number on the Do Not Call Registry so many times, but doesn't make any difference.

I just received the same phone call as others have already listed here and from the same company (Clean and Green Carpet Cleaning), second day in a row.  I also live in Virginia.  I did file a complaint on the Do Not Call Registry web page.  I have never listed to more than the introduction in the message before deleting it.  Called at 5:55pm

Got a call from this number today - again.  I filed a complaint for the one I received the day before yesterday and I guess I'll file another complaint.  Heck, I'll put the FCC's "file a complaint" page on my Chrome favorites bar so it'll be easy to get too.  Maybe if I file hundreds of complaints, the FCC will get tired of me and do something?  I can dream.  The caller ID shows V91216422500159 - like I'm really going to answer a call that shows an ID like that.  The beginning of the recorded message is cut off and the first thing I hear is "... Green Carpet and Air Duct Cleaning..."  The guy in the message sounds like one of those infomercial spokesmen and goes on to offer me wall to wall carpet cleaning for 89;99 and air duct cleaning for less.  I have never done business with this company and my home number has been on the no-call list for nearly 7 years.

Receiving repeated calls from this #!!!!  We live in Virginia.  Why are we receiving this call from New York?????  Calls so much especially at the dinner time!!!  Was getting so bad, we yelled at them to stop calling & if they call again violating the DNC for we are on the DNC list.  But, it is not doing any good for anyone.

Repeatedly called  usually about 5PM. I never picked, they left messages about carpet  cleaning. I finally contacted my intent provider who provides my land line service. They have a service to block unwanted calls. So I am trying that.

I've been getting calls from this number on my cellphones who have long been on the donotcall list (but don't have caller ID). Such unsolicited telemarketing to cellphones has been illegal since 2010 but as Ann noted it's routinely disregarded with no penalty. Yesterday (Wednesday), I picked up to dead air rather than the cleaning robomessage I expected, perhaps because I posted about this call and others including 804-368-3772 here on Labor Day (and I failed to pick up on Tuesday from the same number on the other cellphone). Other calls from this number (consolidating the lines) were on August 29, 28, 24, 22, and 21.

Frankly, these calls to Virginia numbers seem associated with cyberharassment related to the bank fraud scam next door in Illinois, especially since the other call we received to dead air yesterday was also from New York (landline caller ID "bp indepdendent" at 212-777-4567). The nominal owner of the property next door owns gas stations and he might be (and his wife is) South Asian. However, I don't think race/nationality is the real issue. He might well be a straw man for James Crain, a Florida and Illinois fraudster who might be from the Crain Communications family which publishes Crain's New York business, and something about real estate investing, among many other publications in their media empire that started with Advertising Age.

Of course these roboscammers have an interest in ensuring the laws aren't enforced, and communications companies aren't falling over themselves in showing how the laws aren't working. But for politicians, like Terry McAuliffe (of bank fraud and pay for pardon associations and Illinois and New York connections and now Virginia gubernatorial candidate) don't ask/don't tell about cybercriminals means money and power. Ditto with his opponent Cuccinelli, who might well be protecting the 804 and 434 roboscammers. Virginia and the US deserve better.....

Same Clean and Green Carpet and Duct Cleaning that earlier called twice under another number.  Keep reporting to Do Not Call list but nothing is ever done.  "John" gets around with no penalty.

This unwanted caller appears on Caller ID as "Cleaning Service." Someone with a heavy foreign accent says that if you want your carpet cleaned, leave your number. Obviously, if you leave your number, you are confirming that yours is a "live" number than can further be researched through Spokeo are some other information-gathering firm. Why are these people not subject to the Do Not Call laws? Do Not Call is another taxpayer-supported government bureaucracy that accomplishes little or nothing.

Same recording from a different fake caller ID - "Cleaning Servic".  Previously this message came from 732-833-2944.   [John from Clean and Green Carpet and Duct Cleaning wants to clean a carpet for $89 or Air Ducts for $59.]

I now have 3 different sets of these idiots calling with different but similar messages.  I guess with the sequester of federal spending there is no chance of the FTC stopping this nonsense.  It is strange that the NSA is in trouble for knowing who is calling whom but the FTC is clueless even when provided thousands of clues.
