Received this call from Waheed Abdul # 917-442-0737
I continue to get wierd calls from people like this who change from one locale to another and one number to another. Don't they have anything else to do with their time?????

The number is spoofed.
Any business that spoofs their real number is obviously fake and out to scam people.

The scammer from 917-442-0737 (Waheed Abdul) keeps calling my house asking if I have diabetes, don't know how they got this misinformation, I have tried calling back these pieces of crap and get that it is not a good number, last time I told them that only my cat had diabetes and wasn't able to come to the phone at that time...LOL....I think from here on I will start leading them on and playing mind games with them and give them lots of misinformation to keep them busier than a cat trying to cover crap on a hot tin roof, since I can't get them to stop calling, I'll also ask next time if they will accept my Salvation Army credit card (no such thing) and if I can get their number so that I can call them back at their home and annoy them also.

We are receiving multiple calls daily/weekly and its the same as everyone else
| Roger 2011-06-17 15:27:35 Unknown |
I called the above hotline # and spoke with a woman who told me they've received others reports.
These fake people are telling folks that they can get free medicare supplies (i.e. a diabetes blood monitor) and they are billing medicare. You won't get the supplies.
Most phone companies have a caller blocking feature but my phone company said that since the number is being spoofed it may not work to block it. I tired anyway.

I have received 12 phone calls from this number in the last 3 days between
the hours 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Since I have no family in the 917 area code, I don't answer the phone.

I am constantly getting calls from this number asking for a Jeanette Gleesen 2 to 4 times a day for the past 2 weeks, I tell them they have the wrong number and stop calling. When they call again I ask what the call is in reference to and they say they are from Medicare, I then then ask to speak to a supervisor and they hang up and call back 20 mins later. The number calling is a fraud and has been reported to medicare.

Received call from this same number 5 times today. Each time the hung up after answering. Even let two go to answering machine, still no message. On 6th call this evening, a female with a foriegn accent answered, asked if I was (name), I answered yes, then she hung up. I have my name and number on the do-not-call list, but I still get thes annoying calls. Fed up already.

We, my husband and I, have been called repetitivly daily at least 10 times a day for the last three weeks.
I am about ready to cancel my phone. They never leave a message. I answered once today and I was asked if I was ______________. They immediately hung up. A few minutes later they called again. It was a female, foreigners voice.

SCAMMERS or a scammy BME company. Caller ID showed the name "Waheed Adbul". Number is possibly spoofed, though I can't be certain -- it's an inactive/disconnected/unreachable cell phone with an NYC area code, belonging to omnipoint communications inc.
Caller claimed to represent medicare and offered a free glucose meter -- was likely phishing for private information for identity theft. Medicare, of course, will never make unsolicited calls to its beneficiaries. The medicare fraud hotline did confirm that the name has, erm... a history.
If you get a call from this number, please CALL THE MEDICARE FRAUD HOTLINE:
