the same morom with exactly the same text from the craiglist paris " Phil Lazar" just  tried to ask me for 400 ? deposit!!

He just tried to scam me as well under the name and email:

Its a scam artist

I have information to share with you on this guy.  He took a trip (supposively) to Zurich the last week of April '11, to close a huge gold bullion deal.  Then he stated there were this fees and that fees.  Suddenly, he needed 430K to pay attorneys and the miners etc.  He had all except 90K (supposively).  All along telling me that he never found someone with faith like me etc. and telling me he loved me. (1st clue something not right).  Then he wanted me to help him raise the 90K or I did not care about him etc etc.  Trying to use emotion to hook me in.  Of course I stuck to my grounds and stated that I will NEVER send money or have anyone else without seeing the person face to face..EVER!  Well, now he cannot bear to even chat with me and needs to concentrate on completing his big deal. What he actually is doing is working others.  SCAM SCAM.  These scam artist are getting good....let me say... I have had 3 others this year...There are ways to "smoke" them out though and they all have simular ammunition to lure and hook.  One clue is that they will never have a webcam on their computer and will never call you.  If they did, it would show up on your bill the country the call was made from.  Even though they will claim they have a US phone number.  Easily trick to do.  BTW...everyone call him and then report him to the FBI and to Perfect Match etc....We must do our duty and do what we can to stop these guys .Shame on him for using God to hide his dirty deeds.  646-845-9051

Raymond Oukrop also told me that he works as a gold merchant broker for bullionvault.com.  He also stated that he works freelance at Jones & Gold Associates.  When I asked him how I could verify this information, he stated that I should come to visit him in Manhattan & see what he does.  I do not have a good feeling about this.  He appears to be very religious, however, he did not provide me with any contact information to verify that he is who he says he is.  I would say, be careful.  Please share any additional info. you may find out regarding him.  Thanks.

Raymond Oukrop from PerfectMatch.com has contacted me as well, about 3 weeks ago & continuously up to date.  He claims that he is searching for his soulmate.  He seems to be a devout Catholic.  Is there anything I should know that I am missing here?  Thanks very much!

I just received a "rental agreement" from Larry Wayne Ellis for his "place" on 67th West in NYC.  $100 including cleaning fee and cost of Western Union was too good to be true.  And it apparently is.

I also looked for an apartment via craigslist and would have paid my deposit today, but thought it was too good to be true.

He is using email address: mossfrank37@yahoo.com and phone number: +1 909 297 1153, going by the name of JORGENSEN ANDREW JAMES (OWNER).

He even gave me to references to follow up:

This guy nearly scammed me and my family as well. My dad and I got suspicious as he signed his E-mail with a name that differs from the name he uses for his E-mail account. He asked us to pay upfront 50% of the rental fee, as well as a $500 fixed refundable damage security deposit.

I googled his phone number and found this post.

Same problem in NYC with the name Fred Wilcox.  1 909 297 1153 is the number he is using and wilcoxfred77@yahoo.com is the email he is using.

Glad I looked this up.  Knew something was up when he only used Western Union and I saw a London address.  I talked to him on the phone and he sounded like he didn't know what I was talking about.

Well, I'll add to the "I've been scammed list!" - using this phone #
It relates to an apt listed on Craigslist in Manhattan - 228 East 85th Street, Apt 22c. The contact was m_frank51@yahoo.com, and the name of the company was "Lazar Robert Vacation Apartment Rental".  I sent a security deposit of $500 and half the rent for 3 nights to a lady in the UK, named Melisa Thompson.

I began to suspect something when they asked for the rest of the money, in a very poorly worded email - as follows:

"We  recieved a confirmation from our head office that your funds have been recieved.
I have just been notify from our haed office that all client who wants to book should pay in full due to some official problem...
Some new innovation came up to further satisfy our costumers.
Please pay the balance to our head office with same informaton so they can issue your receipt of payment.
I am sorry for the complication.
Please update me asap. ?

The only good thing about it is, at least I didn't turn up in NYC looking for my apt and have nowhere to stay!!!!

We just got scamed this week.  After trying PayPal we sent whole amount via Western Union.  It was for a Jean Davis.  This website indicates he has been working this scam for some time.  Taking money via Wire transmission is wire fraud.  Can and shouold be prosecuted!

Thanks for all who submitted their warnings about scammers. I've become wary of sites such as this & don't ever want to loose my money. It must make it very difficult for those honest people who want to make a living through genuine postings.

This guy ALMOST got my money as well! He's "renting" an apartment on the Upper West Side of NYC on craigslist and also wanted half of the money upfront by money order. He's using an email of larrywayne09@yahoo.com. THANK YOU for all who posted these warnings!

He uses the name JEAN DAVIS and his email was(classyhomerentals@yahoo.com) He offers a 2 bedroom condo at The Link in NYC at 310 West, 52nd St. Midtown West New York, New York. He also wanted the money sent through Western Union to London. Almost got scammed. This site saved us!

Also uses the name Raymond K. Oukrop (email: rkoukrop@yahoo.com). Found him looking for apartments on craigslist--his email response was obviously fraudulent. FYI he's advertising a 2BR Greenwich Village apartment.

For me it was Jesse Chrismond and he is renting an apt on Christopher St in Greenwich Village, NY.  I thought he was a fruad but you all confirmed!
