I admit they can get a bit annoying, but i've been their customer for a few years now (haven't won yet) and they do everything they say they do. They really do hand in your application in your behalf and they help you with it to make sure it's correct. I wouldn't call it a scam. Just a company that's a bit annoying with their calls.

I gota call from two different numbers: +19176282124 and +19176282665. I know that these numbers belongs to usafis.org.. I filled up the application in 2006 and payd 60? it´s been quite silent a couple of years but now they called me again and wanted more cash! I didn´t know this was a scam til today I got mail where they told that I was won.. And wanted $880 per person (heres 3 of us) to get the green card and I couldn´t pay with card this time. They wanted cash to be transferd directly to some American bank.. what a joke!! at first you can´t do nothing without a card and second you can´t pay with it!! I am so taking this forward! Goverment´s official pages had direct e-mail address to FBI and that´s where all my so far e-mails are gona go..

I checked some web sites last night about Green Card Lottery, filled out one form and as soon as i realized that there's some kind of fee involved, left that site. Nex morning, Saturday, got a few calls from them starting 7:30 am. Man, i hate that.

Received call from this scam, too. Just two days after the earthquake hit Japan. Telling that US government is concerned about the disaster and are now raising the numbers of green card applications for Japan. They should be ashamed trying to take advantage of people's devastated minds in the time like now.

My friend residing in Japan also received this scam. They asked whether he wants US visa or not.

USAFIS is a scam to help you with unnecessary paperwork and is using several phone numbers, just google "800notes usafis" The real USA Diversity Lottery site warns about this scam and explains all http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_1322.html
Anyone really wanting to move to the USA, only trust ".GOV" websites. Here is the legitimate website to apply for LEGAL residency in the US:
