I recieved a call at my job from someone stating that he was an Officer by the name of Steve Johnson stating I have a warrant out for my arrest and that the police are coming to my job to arrest me, what a load of crap. I have a clean record and my uncle works for the police department. He also stated that I could pay the fine over the phone and the warrant would be lifted, after telling him where to (lol) I did some research and found out that this has been going on for along time and is very much so a SCAM! Please don't fall victim to this foolishness.

Dial *679176687945 and that will block your phone # from their caller ID so you can question them. Im not saying to prank call them or anything like that but lol its probably all anyone can do.. They are more than likely calling from India or some other country. Also www.calleridfaker.com gives two free calls per day so have fun waiting for someone to catch them. They probably use magic jack or something.. Good luck.. They called me but fortunately i did not give in to their lies and have reported similar scams to the FBI and FTC.. What else can we do?  

This is definitely a scam. They are probably using Magic Jack. Do not give them your money! Steve Johnson is the newest fake name they are using. They are now impersonating the FTC.  

I dont have a payday loan dont have any loans but the same guy called me threatening me i told him to come on and then to blow it out his a**. He claimed to be from ftc

The said they are an officer with the FTC. They were trying to scam money from me. When I called them on the scam they asked if I wanted to have phone sex with them. Don't pay them whatever you do, if you do default on a payday loan it is not a crime it is a civil matter. You can not go to jail for this.

Same number saying it was Steve johnson and that he would take him to court and yadayadayada and they had the wrong state number saying that they would take me to court, scam. BS.

Said he was officer steve johnson with a foreign accent and called my employer...said he was with Federal Trade Commission. SCAM!

Got a call from a foreign sounding man named Peter black saying I had a warrant out for my arrest and I need to contact a them ASAP on 917-668-7945 or I would be arrested at my residence or place of employment. I call b***s***!!

This is a scam..for some reasons they got people's last ssn not the whole number. Collectors in the US don't threat anyone because they are affraid of lawsuit. I got the same thing, but because his name is peter something he's not from the bureau department..these people have nothing to do but calling people for money. Just ignore the phone call or hang up. They are thieves that the US are looking for. I know they have my ss#, but they can't do anything about it because they don't have all the information. Someone named peter F$#% called and left me a message stated that they had a lawsuit against me, and that's all. Here's the number they left 917-668-7945 FAKE!!

Got a call from PETER BLACK who supposedly is an officer of the law. Has a heavy accent and called me and threatened to inform local authorities about some complaint on my social security number. SCAM! He said he was calling from US Criminal Investigations.
