yep - got the same ipad text  as Frances the other day.  garbage.

These are scams, people... If you have to ask whether or not it's legitimate, there's a 99% chance it's not legitimate.  Here's some more info for you:

I got a text received yesterday evening reading "Your entry into the contest last month has made you a WINNER!  Go to http://www.apple.com.textwon.com to receive your Macbook Air!  You have 24 Hours to claim it.".  I thought Apple website?  It redirects you.  Is my fake prize better than your fake prize?

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Message said: "Your entry last month has made you a WINNER! Claim your iPad 2." There was a link in the text message that I did not click, of course.

Got a message telling me I won an IPAD in a contest I didn't enter. Left the follwing web site //alturl.com/ttant.

'You had entered our contest and WON A FREE $500 VISA GIFTCARD! Go to http://bit.ly/IRQJiC now! You have 24 hours from this message to claim!'

This was text to me last night. SCAM!!!!! writing all over it.

I received a text msg from the above number saying

"Dear Valued Customer, your purchase last month has won you a Free $500 Visa Giftcard! Go to bit.ly/IRQJiC to claim now.  You have till 5/4/2012 to claim."

I believe this is a scam.

I had the same text from a similar number. I didn't believe it but wanted to see what the scam was so went to the site. My anti virus blocked it immediately due to malware.

I got a text last night claiming that I won an Ipad 2...I can't believe that I believed it.
I just entered a contest last month so I really thought this was it. It is frustrating.

I want an iPad 2 soooo bad! Sad that this seems like a scam to me.

Got a txt message:

Some hackers and others have to much time on their hands. So frustrating! Pls report and fine those b*****ds!!

I recieved this message @ 7:49 p.m. May 3rd 2012

I got the text saying I had entered their contest and won a free ipad2 go to http://bit.ly/lpG7Hf  24 hours to claim prize.  I do enter a lot of contests so now I'm not sure if I should respond or not.
Always worried but then again some are real contests.  How can a person tell anymore? It's So frustrating!

I got the exact same text, word for word, as Frances.  The only thing I can think of is I did an over-the-phone customer service survey from a retail clothing store using the numbers on the receipt.  On the back of the receipt it stated you could win an iPad2 by doing the survey.

Text from this number saying: "You had entered our contest and you WON A FREE IPAD2! Go to http://bit.ly/lpG7Hf now!  You have 24 hours from this message to claim!"

I got up and found the text message stating that i won 500 visa gift card and , i had to claim it so  that is what i did.

Well i really get it? hmm...when will i recieve it?
