same thing.

That's why I bought a power dialer. got sick and tired of these a**les so now I simply add the # to my dialer and run it for a few days until they ultimately block my #. I love this thing!!!! I've gotten rid of so many of these idiots like this it made the investment worth it.

This number keeps calling my work with a computer message so today I pushed #0 to find out who they are trying to get a hold of. A guy came on and said did you push #1 to lower your rate ? I said no I pushed #0 to find out who you're trying to reach. The guy didn't say a word, just hung up

Came through as Cellular Call with 918-814-1773.  Didn't know the number, didn't answer it, they left no message and believe they called not much before that as Private Caller, blocking their incoming number.  They are super scammers sitting in some foreign country, mainly the Soviet Bloc at this time, who change numbers like we change shirts, and yes, unfortunately prey upon the elderly and the unknowing.  In the end, we ALL are the ones who pay for the billions they scam... by way of higher prices, bank charges, card fees and the intensifying maze of security we all have to go through now.  Welcome to the One World.

The scumbag, parasitic low-lives that prey on the gullible and clueless cannot be stopped. Your local phone company will do NOTHING to stop them because the number they are calling from i(in 99.99999% of the time) is not one of their customers. YOU are, and you pay them for their services, which should include preventing these criminals to hound and plague you, but the offensive A-HOLES disturbing your lives are not. So, they won't do squat-ding to stop them. Believe me, I have tried.
Basically, there is really nothing you can do to stop these types of calls. You can block their numbers, but they will simply generate a new one and continue calling. My phone company only allows me 25 numbers to block. I've filled up that queue a long time ago.
A call blocking device such as one mentioned above, no matter how many numbers you can block with one (and all of them have a limit, which is woefully inadequate considering how easily new numbers can be generated) will never be able to keep pace with the amount of new numbers these A-HOLES can easily generate.
Amazing....it speaks volumes about the human-condition. What amazing, wonderful and worthwhile things we, as a whole, could accomplish if we put only a portion of the same amount of effort into doing something honest and worthwhile. No matter what security and safety devices that are invented, no matter what technology is involved, it WILL be hacked and broken into because, if there is a way to rob, cheat and steal, these elements within human society WILL find a way to do it.
Face it: we are SCREWED!

About all anyone here can do is offer friendly advice since these are only information exchange forums.  The "Card Services" are difficult since they use many numbers and are most likely calling from overseas using VOIP and spoofed caller ID.  You should report these calls to the FTC, they have had some success in getting them shut down but they spring back up like the roaches they are.  They best I can offer is to suggest that you purchase a call block device such as the Digitone Call Blocker or the Pro Call Block 2.0 then block these numbers.

I have asked to be taken off their calling lists many times.  I have been hung up on, after each request.  This is a scam and I never want to be called again.  Can you help?

Besides reporting the card service scammers, we also need to let others (ESPECIALLY THE ELDERLY) know of this ongoing scam before they are cheated.

Scammers using cloning software to show bogus numbers on your caller ID. They are trying to get your credit info to steal from you. At present all we can do is report them until someday in the near future they can find a way to get around their cloning software to find the actual callers and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

Andre, you could not be more correct. The drug-addicted "card services" scammers use all spoofed (false) numbers to try to fool people (mainly the elderly) into giving them their credit card numbers so they can rip them off. These lowlifes pretend to be associated with our credit card companies. We need to be aware of these scummy creatures, and warn others before they are taken advantage of!

This was on my mothers home phone.
These people said they were Card Services. Caller ID said it was from a cellphone not a land line. The recording said to press one to talk with a live person. The individual got upset and made a frustrated sound when I asked about our caller ID  identified them as a cell phone and the caller hung up on me.
Beware. These people are trying to bait elderly people for their information.

These are scam telemarketers.
Don't give them any information.
We tried to talk with them...................when they find out you don't play their game,.... they hang up on you.  You can try to call them back..................but they say their phone box is full.
These scams are a pain in the butt.
Complain people!   Don't just sit there reading if others had problems.
You most likely are not happy or you wouldn't be reading my complaint.
Do what you know is right.............complain!

received a call from this number "trying ti reduce my credit rate". I told them several times to remove my number from their list. When that didn't work they called me from a private number (5 times) , then cussed me before finally hanging up. Jerks.
