I got 3 calls from Anthony Bordin today at our place of business. On the first call, he was asking for an employee of mine calling him a fraud and a criminal. When I told him the employee wasn't available he started making threats that he was going to close down my business as he was some sort of investigator. He was very difficult to understand and wouldn't repeat things I asked him to, so I just hung up. We initially assumed it was a friend of the employee playing a prank.

He immediately called back and my colleague answered. Anthony immediately start asking him for his name and social. They went back and forth for a minute and we hung up on him again.

He immediately called back again, and I answered with a very heavy, poorly done Russian accent and identified myself as Igor. He went in to his usual spiel. I just started replying nonsensical things in my accent to where he broke "character" and started laughing a few times. When the conversation degenerated to eastern European gay male prostitutes verses Indian ones, he gave up and hung up on me. He hasn't called back since.

So the moral of the story is, give it right back to them. They are scam artists, and if they think you are not worth their time, they will leave you alone.

An office of our company started receiving calls today from 919-237-9060.  Very rude, foul mouthed, Indian sounding man harassed employees.  17 calls in a 4 hour period, then it went to call after call. Completely disrupted business!

This guy called me, said his name was John O'Brian and that he worked for Central Invetigation Dept. with Sunny Wilson.  That I was being sued for cash fraud, and that if I didn't pay $300 by 1pm an investigation team would visit me at work. He harrassed my cell phone and my work phone numerous times. I called the FTC and my local police department. I had no idea what he was talking about. I'm so glad I was able to find out this was a SCAM!!!!!!.

By the way, I'd suggest resisting the urge to return any phone call. I unfortunately came to that conclusion after calling him out of curiosity. He's likely using an automated system (with a faulty autodialler in this case) to confirm and obtain more information. You returning his phone call confirms your number and in most cases your identity.

In fact if your receiving a phone call from a suspicious area code or number, it's best to get a few answers before confirming your identity. They usually do this pretty fast (Hello, this is.... with..., is this YOUR NAME?). Just politely ask why their calling. It may be a legit telemarketer, which is at worst a nuisance; but, if they can't give you any information or it sounds sketchy, give them an excuse and get off the phone. It's might be a data mining operation. Look the any numbers up (generally you can Google a number; and, if it's legit it's trackable). In the meantime, if it's really important, they'll call back. They'll call back if it's not important, too though...

Today I received about two dozen calls from 646.480.9999, within about an hour. I literally couldn't pick up the phone because this guy's auto dialer was hyped up on some sort of electronic crystal meth that the calls would connect to my voice mail. I managed to speak with the caller, ANTHONY BORDIN, a few times only to be disconnected from him mid-conversation. As for the messages, Most of the messages were blank (though I could hear office or television noise in the background), there was speaking in some of them, and he left some information in two messages.

In the voicemails and conversations he said I could him at 919.837.237.9760. The call was listed as coming from 646.480.9999. I called that number and it was disconnected; thusly, he had to be using some sort of phone number cloaking technology (I think it's called spoofing...).

Mr. BORDIN had a thick, difficult to understand, INDIAN ACCENT, and BLURRED HIS SPEECH during certain parts of the conversation and voicemails. From what I could understand, he claimed work for the FEDERAL CRIME INVESTIGATION HEADQUARTERS OF THE UNITED STATES; which, to me sounds like something out of a cartoon.... Anyway, from what I could understand, he was calling regarding an alleged FRAUD CASE AGAINST MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER (is that even a real thing?). He told me what he believed to be KEY DETAILS ABOUT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION and said he wanted to discuss the charges, though we never got much further. He THREATENED THAT AN AGENCY (I BELIEVE HE SAID "CIS") WOULD COME TO MY HOUSE OR WORKPLACE TO ARREST ME AND THAT MY CREDIT WOULD BE RUINED.

In the midst of this, I called the local authorities (while my phone was going crazy because of that a-hole's calls), who referred me Experion to put a notice on my credit information. I called the FBI because, who referred me to the FCC (not really their thing...), eventually arriving at the Federal Trade Commission, who again referred me to Experion.

My suggestion would be that if you do get calls, don't give or confirm any information. So, if he tells you your social, just keep listening (he didn't ask to confirm that with me). Seems like a lot of calls like this can be data mining. They have some of your information and want more. If they have enough or think you'll buy it they'll probably try to get money out of you.

The number and this operation are illegitimate. Knowing call center work, I know the first thing that was sketchy was his not stating the call was being recorded. A minor detail, but he never said that and someone in a legitimate role would have. He didn't get around to asking me for money. He expressed the urgency of the situation and we'd get disconnected then he'd call back. It felt like he was disconnecting so I'd panic about this death to my credit and ask "who do I give my money to?"

Looks like this is happening a lot, so it's not a bad idea to contact a few authorities. Ultimately, these are the folks to consider calling:

Federal Trade Commission
877.832.4357

Your state Attorney General's office
800.392.8222 (if you happen to live in Missouri)

Raleigh Police Department
919.996.3855
If you know a fraud has occurred and believe it to be related to 919.237.9060. Call this number. Remember, he police can only file a report if a fraud has occurred and the police in your state would be out of their jurisdiction, so call Raleigh.

One of the three major credit bureaus so that you can put a watch out on your credit. You'll can receive calls regarding any changes.

We (Myself and fellow co-workers) have been dealing with "Prince Charles" as he says, since about 9:00 this morning.  He gives up for a while and then starts up again.  Just like with "Smiddy" stated above,  he will tie up 2-3 lines at a time and is very ugly.  Our General Manager even spoke to him and even gave him "a run for his money".  I did call the FTC after reading the posts & they suggested we just hang up.  It seems the calls slow down if we just put him on hold for a while.  Guess he has a quota of people to bug each day. :)

This heavy accent guy has been harassing me and my employers.  I mailed the State Attorney General's office, and they cannot do anything until they receive an address.  When I asked them for a mailing address, he got pissed off and started screaming at me and using profanity.  It is unnerving because they have my personal information.  I am hoping that those of us involved can file a civil complaint somehow and have this stopped.

This person will completely waste your company time with harrassing and offensive phone calls.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME trying to reason with him. Just hang up on him.

Immediately make a police report on him and file a complaint with the FTC. Their number is 877-382-4357 or 202-326-3128.  We also got Caller ID on our line. He shows up as "unavailable".

He starts by asking for an employee and when you refuse he demands for a manager and when you refuse he starts yelling obscenities. Then the harrassing phone calls start. Within seconds of each other, sometimes lighting up 3 lines at a time with recordings on 2 of the lines all day long. Once we told him we reported him to the police and the FTC he has backed off. Probably attacking someone else.

Please report him and pass it along. Maybe this will stop him and others like him.
