I just got another call from these scumbags and it came up as 911 EMERGENCY and the lady tried to say the cops were coming to arrest me and asked if I had a lawyer present, I told her no, I dont need one because your a scam and a fraud..she hung up!! They start by telling you, you have a legal complaint against you and then proceed by asking you, DO YOU KNOW WHATS GOING ON, so when you say NO, they can attemt 2 pull their SCAM!!

I received the same call stating the exact same things. It's an Indian male, who states his name is Mark Slater with Brad Law Firm. He said he had an officer Mike something in the office who could read an affidavit for my arrest & he can answer any questions that I have.   Whomever these people are, they also stated that I committed numerous crimes & wrote checks online with American Payday Loans. Also I should contact my job & let them know what I've done. I feel like something should be done because I'm tired of these harassing telephone calls.  If they continue, my next step is calling my Attorney General office.

well Sherry you know you cannot go to jail over this. they are freaks and just plain scammers!! lower then snakes! wish someone would put them down and we could get money from them for harrassment!! their threats dont mean a thing and they cannot hurt or touch you in any way. they try with their threats and we just laugh at them.

RECEIVED A CALL FROM BRAD AND ASSOCIATES   WITH A GUY THREATING THAT A POLICE OFFICER WAS COMING OUT TO ARREAST ME FOR A LOAN i SUPPOSELY TOOK OUT OF 500.00
TOLD ME THAT I WOULD GO TO JAIL FOR 6 MONTHS BECAUSE i TOOK THE MONEY AND RAN.  tHEY SAY THEY ARE PRESSING SEVERAL CHARGES WHICH WOULD AMOUNT UP TO OVER 5000 DOLLARS.

I keep getting calls from this number asking for my deceased father.  The man gives a different name each time ansd threatens me with legal action about some payday loan.  I would like for these calls to stop and they are lots of complaints about this number and others being harassed on google.

My husband just got a call from the same number which is 919 238 7091. He had an indian accent spoke poor English. I didn't pick up he left a voice mail saying my husband is being charge for some kind of fraud and he also left me a different number to call back. I just don't believe it's true I believe it's a scam. How do I stop them from calling? This is really buging me.

I have been receiving calls ever since yesterday from phone number 919-238-7091. It was very intimidating, I kept getting transferred around (even though the man had the same voice and Indian accent each time) and no one could give me a straight answer. Finally, the "transfers" stopped and the man said that his name was Glenn with Brad Law Firm. He said that American Loan was suing me for an unpaid payday loan and the law suite was filed on 07/04/2012. I admit, I have a payday loan, but it is not in default. So, of course I was not understanding the reason for the law suite at all. He stated that I owed $630.00 to cover the loan and fees. He threatened that a sheriff was going to pick me up from my work this Monday if left unpaid. He was going to call my work, right now and file the proceedings. I work for corporate America... it is not as simple as just calling. He told me that I would spend 6 months in jail and be fined up to $9,000.00. That Texas is zero tolerance State. Upset,  I began to play along. He asked me how I was going to send the funds. He asked if it was going to be via debit card. Curious??? I thought.... Why would someone want non-secure funds sent to them, if this is a legal matter for a debt. Especially, after he told me that the payday loan company tried to take the funds from my bank account already, and were unsuccessful.  In my experience something this serious would grant certified funds. I told him that I was not going to use my debit card and he suggested Wal-mart. He told me to get a Green Dot Money Pak that would cost $4.95. Once purchased, to call back with the activation code. They really have this down to a science. Instead of purchasing the Green Dot, I went to the place where I received my payday loan. I was told that I was in great standings and that they would not file a law suite against me if I fell behind. It would simply go to collections and I may receive a call to collect the debt, but that they would never send a sheriff. It was just not that serious of a matter. I had the store manager call the supposed Brad Law Firm. When she called and did not provide any information, the person on the phone cursed her out and hung up. Total Fraud. What kind of professional, legitimate company would do that! She said not to worry about any kind of proceedings. I immediately called the police department and started a case for fraud and harassment. I also checked with the warrant department and they advised me that I do not have any pending warrants. That normal proceedings for a warrant, are that they will attempt to notify me first. Please do not believe these fraudulent people, they are nothing but harassing cowards, who cannot get a legitimate job. Do not be intimidated by them.

I got 2 calls from this phone number today.  I didnt answer either one of them.  They were left in my voicemail.  But it was from a man with a very bad indian accent. He didn't say what it as about just that it was time sensitive and I needed to call him the VERY MINUTE I got the message or else I would suffer the consequences of my actions.  I told myy husband I was going to google the number before I even thot of calling him back.  Now I'm glad I did becuz there is no way I am calling him back.  After reading the posts, I HOPE he doesn't call my work number as the number goes to the front desk and I don't want to get in trouble.  I did look into a payday loan but decided against it.  I have never heard of the one listed in the replies.  So if thats what they are claiming, they are full of it.

Received this same call from a very bad English speaking idiot that threatened severe consequences if the call was not returned.  Said an employee of ours owed money and they wanted them to call or their attorney.  When we tried to call the number back, the line reverberated and you couldn't understand a word they said.  Knew it was a scam from the very beginning.

i received the same call last night about my daughter, who is at school in raleigh, nc. the both of us contacted the people who said they were from brad lawfirm. the lawyer's  name they gave is mark slater and the police officer who is coming for my daughter is tony abraaham. they threated to come to her job and arrest her for some payday loan she too out in may(she never did) for $400. they wanted us to find a walmart and wire them $653.25 which would come the loan amount plus fees. i got so scared that i almost fell for that scam. lucky we goggled the phone# and got all of this information. DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY, no matter what they are threating you with. file a police report....

I have been receiving very threatening calls from this number telling me " your going away for 6 months your going to lose your family and your job you will never see your family or a good life again you will never get a job again" he says his name is glen Barnes. I already filed a police report against them and they want me to have my phone company trace the number. He gave me a number for "the corporate office of the loan company" and when I called the guy already had all my information my name and ssn.. I called them (now I am recording calls by the way) and the man and the corporate office started yelling at me and talking over me told me he was 3 different loan companies, and then when I was asking for his supervisor he continuously spelled the name of the loan company like I was stupid then hung up on me. I called "glen Barnes" back and said the call was being recorded so he immediately said "your phone is breaking up I need to call you back" (little did he know the app I downloaded records incominag calls too) so he gave me information that he was with brad legal associates located at 1842 fairview park franklintown nc 27525 then I told him my local police department would be contacting him and he said "your going away your going to have a criminal record" and hung up. MAJOR SCAM, TELL THE GUY TO SCREW!

I actually was close to my local police dept when they repeatedly called. I put them on speaker phone and the detective there (who didn't really care all that much) questioned the "law firm" and they had the balls to yell at the cop!! I am filing a police report. I hope someone shuts them down. They claimed I took out a payday loan and am being brought up on criminal charges. They said an officer was coming to my home.

Another one of these idiots numbers 630-387-5259.  Called my work THIRTY times in the middle of surgery threatening my coworkers, and called my cell phone the other number of times.  I filed with the local police because I was beyond fed up after the numerous calls to my employer.  No one should be scared of these morons. The officer laughed when I told him they threatened to have me picked up for charges they couldn't even explain.  They never stated the law firm name, who I had a loan through, or when I received this money. I also applied for a short term loan but chose not to accept because of the astronomical interest rates.  Must be where they got all of my information.  Luckily I moved in the middle of all of this so when I told him yesterday I called the police about the matter and they would be contacting the FBI, he lost his story line (hilarious.) he called back stating "Allo, this officer Davis from (old city I lived in) police department." I said yep, nice try, and hung up.  He wanted the name of the officer I spoke to, my guess is he was going to use it when he called back.  Like I'm not gonna notice the hire country boy I just spoke with developed a heavy foreign accent in the 3 minutes since I spoke to him. Stupid stupid stupid.  I just got done emailing the phone company the original phone number calling me is through to let them know their services are being abused and used In a fraud scam.  This number is through Vitelity Inc. which Is a company that does voice overs (hence that familiar Indian fella calling all of us.. It's not the same person, just the same voice hiding the people). Get these guys shut DOWN with me PLEASE!!!

I also received a call from this number both on my call phone and work phone saying I was the primary suspect in some investigation.  The caller with what sounded ike an Indian accent asked me to verify the last 4 numbers of my social (to which I of course said NO chance).  He then told me that they would be showing up at my job, blah, blah, blah.  I then had to start getting more agressive.  I informed him that he was not dealing with an amateur and that I would not be falling for any of that.  He told me he would see me in court (so scared...not!!!).

Like others on here he answered the call just identifying the business as Law Firm.  He said his name was Rob David.  I would advise everyone to contact the authorities.  This is clearly a scam.  Applying for a pay day loan is hardly a crime.

I have had the same threating phone call numerous times from  919-238-7091 and the unknown number. I also applied for a payday loan but never took it. I hope the parties responsible are found and brought to justice and made to pay anyone they've threatened and harassed

these people called me at my job and left me a message saying the same things you all have explained.  they told me all my information probably because I attempted to apply for a payday loan but did not get it.  i don't know if they were mad because of that or not and decided to start threatening me.  i had my hr department to call back and they were VERY rude and irrate.  when looking the number up it said it was in hendersonville NC and it was a cell phone.  This is so fraudulent and they have the information from when you apply online and they use it against you.  I have placed a block on my information through equifax and will be placing it on the other two bureaus.  oh and they never identified the name of the law firm they just kept saying "law firm".

Been calling me for a month now. I did take out the loan and have paid them 631.35. Now they say I owe late charges of 297.35. I had made arrangements to pay but couldnt pay. Got a phone call today saying they going to the sheriffs office to have me arrested. The lady with the accent would not let me explain. She said she did not want no excuses and demanded I give her m.POy bank info. Im scared cause I dont want to go to jail

Just got a call from these crooks and got their name on reverse look up. I will be calling fbi and police and if I have to channel 7. Could not tell me when I got it, how, the amount borrowed. Rude, hung up andwhen I called back was told not to call them again.

I got the same call today ..an he told me that  he was going to yhe police and put a warnt for my arest..,an funny thing is i have metta bank! He wouldnt give me no infromation nothing an i told him,i was getting aholintouch with a judge and all thst i was going to take leagle action an he got very mad an told me not to call back..

I also received calls from this (Brad Law Firm) company. Im being accused of Fraud from a payday loan. The numbers that keep calling me are 1-919-238-7091 and 1-567-248-5841. They have threated civil action and arrest. Told me i took out the loan in may of 2012 and that i received the loan in a pre-paid visa gift card because my bank rejected the deposit. i have contacted the FBI, The local police, and the FTC. I suggest everyone does the same thing.

I have recived several calls from this number stating that i was being charged with crimes of fraud.They stated that i had taken out a payday loan in may of 2012(i did not) and that i was taking the money and running. when i started to ask questions i was able to get a little bit of info from the guy before he got very rude and rung up. They go by the name Brad law firm. they claim to be working for American payday cash.

Received call from this "company" threatening legal action, used profanity and made threats to harm.  Did not state what the call was in reference to.

RECEIVED CALL AT MY JOB STATING THAT I NEEDED TO REACH OUT TO MY LAWYER. WHEN I ASKED HIM HOW LATE HE IS OPEN TO HE KEPT SAYING I WAS BREAKING UP. HE ONLY GAVE ME A PHONE NUMBER AND NOT THE BUSINESS NAME. UPON LOOKING FURTHER ALL I COULD FIND OUT WAS THE CALL CAME FROM CARY,NC

Man with bad Indian accent left message threatening legal action if I or my attorney don't return his call. Got a similar phone call from an Unknown number that left me a totally different phone number to call back. This is another scam. His english is so poor I can't tell you what law firm or company he is calling on behalf. Just that Vitelity, LLC shows up on the caller id.
