Getting calls from 919-338-1468.  When I try to return it, it says the number is temporarily unavailable.  I would really like the opportunity to personally THANK this individual for the pleasure of taking these unwanted calls.  HIDE GOOD!

I have been getting calls from this number.

Possibly potential robbers.  As of late they have been doing what most of you have been describing.  Calling and hanging up is their way of finding out if you are home.  They will talk to a child or teen to get information as to when an adult will be home.  They are just fishing out potential homes for break-in.  Most definately report these calls to local authorities!

Called twice today.  Answered the second call.  Claims to be selling N&O newspaper.  I'm on the DNC list.

Called twice today, no one on the other end. Called them back & "not available." Covering bases I called the N&O and insisted they respect the NC "do not call registry."  BTW Telcove's ph # answers with a recording asking a message be left.

I have been receiving 2 calls per day from this number since the last three days... when I pick up the call there is no answer from the otherline.

I just created a new contact with it and I will ignore it next time...

several calls a day. never leaves a message, just dead air. very annoying. i think I'm going to have fun messing with this person...

I have received numerous phone calls from this number and no one is ever on the other end. When I try and call it back it says that this number cannot be dialed.

Got a call from this number. It is someone trying to sell News and Observer subscriptions.

They call randomly about once a month.  No one on the line that I can hear.  And you can't return the call.  I would REALLY love to know who it is.

FYI - when you call back and get a temp disconnected message - this is a feature that some VOIP systems allow the owner to set. The owner will also have a list of phone numbers they called and the ones that called them back.

I have had a couple of calls from that number. Phone call comes in as if it were from Chapel Hill, NC
That info might  be spoofed?
FYI - Somewhat concerned that the instigator could be monitoring this list so not leaving any identifying info here.

I have gotten two calls this morning from this number. I answered the first time and just got dead air. I let it go to vm the second time and again, nothing but dead air.

I would love to know what their deal is.

Got a call this morning. Let it go to voicemail, where it left 12 seconds of static.

just got a call from this number.  asked if we got the paper today - i said "i think so - who are you calling?" - then they hung up.

Apparently these calls are from telcove. Here is some info on them. Apparently they only have two employees. Very Suspicious!!!

Got a call from this number again. The woman called asking if we received out News & Observer. After saying that we don't get the New & Observer, the person refused to talk anymore. Whoever this person is has some very serious issues. After reading all these other post about this number, I feel something very sinister is going on. I think there is more than just a prank being played. You all be careful out there!

Apparently this number is from Chapel Hill. I only got the one call and there was no one on the other side. I waited and eventually I heard a clicking sound as if I was going to get a recorded message, but in the end nothing. Hopefully I won't get a call from this number again.

What is wrong with some people?  Just got one as well.  10 seconds of nothing then hung up.

Ditto here--get several calls from this number every day, including the weekends.  Leaves voicemail of just dead air---got the number disconnected message when trying to return the call.  Yep, strange people out there every where.

my wife received 5 calls from this number in the last 24 hrs, after looking it up and finding this page we just called the police department and reported it, i suggest that others do as well. Who ever it is can not be up to any good

My brother got a call 30 minutes ago, but didn't answer  We tried calling back and its temporarily disconnected.  This sounds like some hollywood sh**.

I got a call from this number while I wasn't home. I tried to call back and it was temp disconnected. this is very strange...

I've gotten several calls a day from this number.  No breathing,, just "dead air"... even on the answer machine.  Got one about an hour ago, and one earlier this morning, and one or two every day since Wed.

I have received two calls from this number today. First sounded like nothing, but then it clicked over and I heard background noise. When I called back it said the number was temporarily unavailable. Strange and unsettling :-(

just called me... I dont answer numbers on my time warner cable home phone unless I know the number, local or not.

This person called my house this afternoon. They didn't respond to my voice. They stayed on the line about 20 seconds then hung up. I actually wrote down the number, because it seemed odd.

This person called my house this evening while I was on my cell phone. I asked my daughter to answer and take a message. When she answered she said a man spoke with her who she thought was her grandpa. He asked her if her mommy and daddy were home. She said that her daddy was home, but on his cell phone and could she take a message. The man hung up on her. I looked at the number and it was the same one that called earlier and hung up on me.

It bothers me that after reading all of these posts, this person only chose to speak to a 6-year old girl, then when she said her parents were home they hung up.

Just looked it up on th e computer and the info I got said the number is from Telcove Operations, Inc. - NC

Got a call this morning from this number. Noone answered whe I said hello
