   We keep getting calls from an Indian accented man claiming to be from Microsoft. My mother doesn't believe him. The same person has also called claiming to be from Dish Network. Now, today, the same guy called saying he was from Microsoft and asked if he could "see our computer". Now get this: the phone number was 5 digits long! It was 88817! Right there on the caller ID! I am not 100% sure that it is the same person, but I have reason to believe it is. The voice is the same, and not unlike the 919 number, he was claiming to be from Microsoft and asking to see our computer.

Got a call from this number, but the caller left a message saying he had a client for me in my real estate area and left a number of  406-532-5592.  I did not call back, sounds like these people deal in everything!

5:04am rcvd a phone call stating they were from Microsoft and asked if I had received their email.
This person used my first name.  When told if an email was sent my computer was off so I didn't know.  Person went
on to say that my email address using msn was changing to hotmail. I again asked why he was calling me at 5am
and he cited a hyperlink notification said msn emails were changing at 6am today and if I didn't want that I needed to scroll to the bottom of the page and click .....

As he was talking I checked email via phone and saw an email was sent at 5:06 (while talking to me on phone).
The email not from MSN but was from A S(bts.ajs@gmail.com) with a link ....ammyy.com/aa_v3.exe.
Subject:  MSN 888DCA60.

I recognized the ammyy.com as a remote access no. as I used that last year after being hacked and charged to have a virus removed from my computer.  The company that used it was a reliable source.

I asked the caller to hold while I wrote down his name and the call disconnected.

I turned on my computer and:

1) ran a "quick scan "by microsoft essentials which showed no problems;
2) checked phone no. from personal caller id - got my own voice mail;
3) checked my email to print out one rcvd from A S(bts.ajs@gmail.com) which gave the above link.
   Note:  I never clicked on that link
4) MSN888DCA60 entered in search box with results as being a scam
4) started full scan by microsoft essentials-so far no problems identified
4) checked phone no. by search box which gave that no. as a scam
5) checked microsoft web site and found more info as a scam

2) checked the email address which gave approx 40 options and I did not explore them

Got a call from this number this morning a little after 8 am at our place of business.  The female caller, who sounded very peppy and professional,  asked to speak to our "chief financial officer or controller" and said she was calling from "TNS."  Neither of those folks were available, and I asked, "What is TNS?  What is your company?" and she told me they were involved in "interviewing people about their banking relationships."

I will be watching for any other calls from this number and will alert the other ladies that cover the main phone line at our place of business.

They called me at 4:38AM!!!  And I'm in the central time zone, just one hour from them, so there's no excuse.  Good thing my ringer was off.

Today, I have received 4 calls from 919-379-9999 each time they say that my computer is sending microsoft  messages and they want to show me how to get rid of the viruses on my comp. before it crashes. They said that they were from Microsoft, I replied that I did not believe them, they insisted that they were legitimate. I have had at least 10 calls from them. I also told them that I am on the DNT call list. I am sure it is some kind of scam.

Just received a phone call from 919-379-9999 NORTH AMERICA....saying the usual crap about lowering interest rate, when I told the guy on the other line (foreign -Indian accent) that I was on no call list and remove my number from his list.....he in turn told me to "remove your clothes" and when I said I'd be reporting him it didn't phase him...said he liked hearing his voice, etc. and I hung up.  There has to be something that can be done about this, it's getting ridiculous.  It's time we found some way to protect our rights!

Stated they wanted to lower my interest rate. I stated, "remove my name from your list." They restated what they were calling about. I restated my comment, twice. They hung up on me.

They wanted to lower my credit card payment. I always keep these calls on line and let them spend their nicklle, so I pressed '1' and told them I wanted a pepperoni pizza. Got in a long discussion that turned out 'filthy' on his part.  The caller ID was 919-379-999 / VOIP PRP. He didn't seem concerned when I told him (foreign voice) he was being recorded so probably untraceable.  I am on DNC but it doesn't seem to matter.  Only solution is to get rid of landline and eventually cell phones.

Called offering mortgage solutions to lower my mortgage. I have no mortgage and my number is on a DNC list. They hung up as soon as I mentioned breaking the law by calling a DNC listed number.
