You ARE KIDDING RIGHT??? Mr. Paul D. Schnitz not being the caller? I just received such a call (919-459-2671 btw yet another new #) I never inquired about BCBS insurance. If anyone is rude to keep calling and not saying anything, THAT IS RUDE, that is YOU. You are not only making your company look suspicious but the honest ones, too. I never answer a phone number where I don't recognize either the number or the name, so save yourself time and money and stop calling people that are on your list. I am sure if anyone wants to buy insurance, they will call (and I hope it's not your company)

I keep getting calls from this same line..every day...around the same time..and i always have my phone on silent because of my kids sleeping..and when i look at my phone..the missed call is there..no messages...no nothing..i call back..and it rings and rings..how can i report this number to my phone company???

The number that calls is an Appointment Setter, like me, I work for the company..probably called one of you guys haha. The reason for the call is to let your business know that we're giving free quotes on individual health insurance..seriously..no catch. We typically ask for managers, because since it's their business we have to have permission from them for one of the agents in the area to swing by for the quote. Average lasts 10 minutes, some 15 depending on questions. To stop these calls from repeating, simply answer and ask politely to be put on the do not call MASTER LIST. If you say "don't call here again" we just scratch out your number on the sheet. There could be 2 more sheets with your number on them. If you're rude, most of us, not including me, will just scratch out your number. Yes, our calls can be annoying..but we're just doing our jobs. Trying to make our quota. And if a representive is rude to you on the phone..simply hang up. Eventually they'll get caught being ugly to our clients, and get fired. So next time it shows up on the caller ID..simply pick it up, we're all friendly, I personally like to start a conversation sometimes, keeps me going you know. It sucks to have 50 people slam the phone in your ear calling you names in a row. It's a tough job. Somebodys' gotta do it though! But we're NOT SELLING ANYTHING! And I have been working there a long time.

I received a call this morning...didn't hear it ring and no message was left.  I dialed the number back, but no answer no voice mail message.

I haven't asked for an insurance quote....I already of BCBS (althought it's out of CA and I've NEVER placed a claim)

They have called me at least four times in the past 2 days!I was told they were stopping by my store to give me information on health insurance.I said I didn't want want my business day interupted by salesmen.They said it was free and I didn't have to keep it.I said no thank you and for some reason they keep calling!These people are clueless and hard headed.I am trying to keep my composure but for how long I don't know.

I work for Paul Schnitzer, BCBS. My job is to call the numbers I have on a sheet, only business's. Sometimes the sheets are old, meaning places have closed, numbers have switched to homes, if you simply do not want to be called, ask to be put in the do not call master list. To be quite honest..if you're rude..most of us will not put you on the DNC list. We do not get information that you already have the insurance, and we do not sell anything. We offer NO CATCH free quotes for individual and group plans for Blue Cross Blue Shield to those who are interested. If you get more than one call, most likely there's 2 or 3 of the same sheet. We're not suppost to leave voicemails, unless we're leaving the area for some time, or throwing away sheets. Paul is a very respectable person, and BTW..he doesn't call a single person. I do not consider myself a Telemarketer, I am not selling anything. I just call hundred's of numbers a day trying to make my quota. Working. That's it.
In response of your threat..caller ID works both ways. And I suspect the calls have greatly decreased if stopped at all for you, Patricia, since your knowledge.
And that's not the number to the cary building. It is simply the caller ID number.
Anyone who doesn't want to be called anymore..simply answer the phone..say put me on your Do Not Call Master List and the calls should end.
Appointment setters are people too. We don't like being treated like trash because we call people all day. How do you think we feel?

Scamming maggots

I recieve calls from this number and agency all the time!! Most of the time they hang up, once a guy tried asking for the manager of my business and when i told him, he was not here, the guy was extremely rude and said I thought I was calling a business, I guess not!  He would not tell me why he was even calling.  I found him on the internet and today I found this site.  I am so glad I did b/c I just called 919-424-3810 and asked them to take my name off the list, they said they would and were very nice about it.  If this does not work, I am going to start calling their numbers and hanging up all day.  I have tried to block them before and it doesn't work.  i am glad to know that there are others out there trying to stop them too!

I am a BCBSNC representative.  This number is for an agency that has a telemarketing co. that calls.  I just contacted my Agents Rep. and he said that I could give him my friends name and phone number and he would call the agency and have them stop calling.  He also told the agency that they had to have thier name, agency and contact phone number left so people could call and asked to be removed from thier calling list.  So just to reiterate, this call is not coming from BCBSNC or because you have asked an agent for a BCBSNC quote.  It's simply a cold call generated by an agency selling BCBSNC.  If you have any questions you could email me at Monicaycook@aol.com  Hope this info helps.  My friend was glad that I could fix it for her.

That phone number listed (2698) just rings and rings.  I received a call from a different number as well, same company.  That phone number is 1-919-459-2669.  With this phone number, I left a message and stated that I do not appreciate the 4-5 phone calls a day and no messages.  I asked that they stop calling and when I am ready for Inurnace, I will call them.  Hopefully that will work.  If not, I will be sure to file for harassment!

This is just someone trying to sell you insurance.  I already have Blue Cross insurance, but they don't have that information and just call everyone.  I looked up the business number on Google and called up there (919-424-3810).  I politely asked them to remove my name from their call list, and I haven't received any calls since...it has been 3 months.

Just called again and when the message was on the answering machine it was a phone ringing and a woman answered and said hello then it cut off. WEIRD

I just got one of these and googled it, which is how I found this forum.  How do you block a call?  I've got a few others who call daily which I'd also like to block.  It's not a cell phone, it's my business landline.

Do as I do with these calls to my cell phone: add it to your REJECT LIST and it never rings through again...

Called me on my cell and didn't leave a message.  No caller ID though.  I have BCBS insurance through my company too, so I'm not sure why they would be calling me for sales.  I'll answer if it happens again and post what's up.

i got a call from this same number and it was from cary, nc.  you can go to www.whitepages.com and do a reverse phone search and if you cannot find out who it is, it will at least tell you the area and state it comes from.  also, you can type the number in on google.com in this format 919-459-2698 and it will tell you sometimes.  hope this helps

I signed up for a free insurance quote over 2 years ago, when my husband changed jobs.  These guys are still calling me!

I'm trying to run a business from my home, so I have to answer the phone.  I just try to remember their names and not answer

I get calls on my cell from this @$$hole about 3 times a week. He calls and never leaves a message. I signed up for a free quote for health insurance. I call back and he never answers. Its Really annoying. I'm thinking about having his # blocked.
