Got a call from 919-733-5913 on my cell phone after 8pm. As I did not who it was, I ignored it. The next day I looked it up on "who called me." Thanks Terry for your info. I logged into the NCESC website and there were a job referral.

This number is the NCESC. I updated my employment info while looking for a part-time job and received an automated message from this number directing me to contact the local office.

some thing about the day greeting hot line and asks to put in a four digit code????

I also got a day greeting message asking me to put in a 4-digit extension number. I have to pay by the minute for my phone and it is really a nuisance.

I received a call from this number and an automated message told me to contact the North Carolina Employment Security Commission. I called my local office and was transferred to the Placements division. The representative initially was confused and apparently ignorant of automated messages to applicants. After a few questions, it was determined that the person that I was speaking to had generated the message.
This is legitimate. If you have registered with the NCESC and have indicated that you are looking for a job in a specific field, they contact you as new jobs come up. Call the local office, I only got busy signals when I called 919-733-5913

This is legitimate. I researched this number online and some said that it was a scam and others said that it was real.

they have called twice from this number and 919-733-0688. both numbers when you call back take you to that day greeting extension service. as i recall this is the ESC and since i applied online for a couple of more positions just this week, i assume it is they.
i just wish they would leave a message, because the phone is not ringing but 2 times and they are gone when i pick up.

A recorded message stated that someone had given my phone number in relation to Child Search, and to contact the NC Employment Security Office.
