i get this call almost daily

We have received 12 calls in last 5 days from these jerks. They should be fined and stopped.

received a call at 0815!  Thanks to this site I did not answer and will block.

heard the caller was from some "high way patrol collection agency", or something like that, asking for donations.  Another site (for a different number but same "agency") said that the highway patrol doesn't ask for donations.  They've called us several times.  It's just a scam.  I wouldn't pick up and tell them to stop calling though; apparently some people did that and the "agency" person started ranting at them.

They are calling my home number and leaving voicemails acting as they know me. I am on the Do Not Call list.

Same sad tale the rest of you are speaking of.  I am going to call block.

Calling constantly around this time EVERY day - why isn't there a way to make them stop.  We, too, are on the Do Not Call list.

I just got two calls from this number within the space of an hour. Both times, a male voice left a message saying "Hello, may I speak to Shirley?" (That's my mother's name.) From that alone, I knew these folks were telemarketers, but thanks to the comments posted here, I now know that they are SCAMMERS, too.

These are worthless people trying to steal (make) money off people and try to make you feel like you have to do it or make you feel like you are bad for not giving the low-lifes money. I say to them.... GET A REAL JOB!

THE NC Highway PATROL does NOT solicit for monies.

Are there rules for WHEN a telemarketer can call?  Just got one from this number at 8:45. Thought 9AM was the earliest they were allowed.  I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.

I just received a phone call from this organization.  I stopped the guy during his speech and asked him "what percent of the monies you collect do you actually give to the organizations?"  He said, "well, we guarantee $75,000...."   No, I said, "what percent?"  The answer:  12%.    Ridiculous.  If they even give 12%....the rest of the monies go to pay people like him to call and aggravate people like me who are at work, trying to support my own family.  I also reminded the caller that my phone number is on the "do not call" list and that he should not call me again.

Same thing - I told the jerk he had the wrong number and he said, 'Oh, no, I have the RIGHT number but the WRONG...' and then I hung up.  Nice way to go about getting donations!  How are they going to fill the donut shops with THAT kind of attitude?!

This number continues to call our home even after we told them no. They are harassing.  They are collecting money for the highway patrol fund.  When you try to tell them no and stop calling you, they get smart with you and hang up.  It is the same way with the children's fund for cancer.  They also call constantly.  These organizations should leave people alone when they say no.  They shouldn't be allowed to continue to call people.  Not everyone wants to donate.  If they need money maybe they can call 1-800-White House. Our government seems to fund alot of things, maybe they can find money there, because that seems to be where alot of ours is going. Leave us alone.
