This number has been calling several time a day into the evening, and leaves no message, I will not pick up on a call where I do not recognize the number. Did a reverse check on the number and it comes up as land line Raleigh, North Carolina. It is flagged as a telemarketer!

It comes up Local Call on id.

Calling here several times a day for the past few weeks.  Decided to answer, and at first was met with background call room noise.  After a few seconds a female voice said "Hello", and I'm thinking to myself, pay attention, you called me, I already said  "Hello"!!!  She used my first name as if she was my best friend or something.  Then she said it was nice to hear a friendly voice since she had mostly talked to grumps this morning.  I'm thinking, it's 9:30 on a Saturday, what do you expect!!!  Anyway, it was something about a fundraiser for Vets.  She once again said my name and asked me if I had any Vets in my family.  This is where I used up all my nice and answered with a "click" !  I almost forgot.  She did say something along the lines "the reason for my recorded message"???  Not sure what that was all about.

This phone number keeps calling my fax line. I can't pick it up and it has happened at least a dozen times since Christmas. I tried to call the number back from my phone but it never connects. How do I stop this from happening?

been getting this number a lot since Christmas.  Since they don't leave a message I don't bother to pick up or call back.  I'm on the "Do Not Call List"!  why is this happening?  Maybe I should answer and remind them of that.

Nusance calls

Just got a call from the same 919 number -- to a Bank of America owned phone.  Answered professionally with BofA in the salutation and the "silence" ended with a hang-up.

Get this several times a day. Say they are American Vet Association. Can't find any information on this being a legitimate agency. Sounds like a con. Wouldn't trust them.

They called me around 10-00am. I ignored that call.

Got this number several times on the caller id. Usually if I don't know the number I will not answer. Now I don't really need to know who was calling but having this info is real handy. Thanks so much.

I did call the number back that was listed on the caller id and it said that they were American Vet & gave me a toll free number where I could call and speak with someone live now.

Got a call around 5:15pm. When I answered there was a delay and a man said Eric (who is my father) I said that he was not available. Asked for a message he said no message and hung up.

Picked up and had to wait a few seconds and a guy came on and said his name and something else (all unintelligible Midwest accent). I asked who he was with and he said American Vet association (he did not say veterans).  Then he said I?m sure you have relatives or know a friend in the services. And I said sure and he said what branch and I said army. He said that the American VET association had teamed up with Zental <sp?> for this campaign.  I said so your calling from a call center and he said no. (I could hear a lot of people talking in the background) I said so you?re calling from your house and he said yes. I said you?re not calling from your house and he hung up.  The caller ID showed LOCAL CALL but the 919 area code is about 100 miles east of me in Charlotte, NC
