If you get calls from them or anyone that won't answer you, do what they do, call the police and report the number as harassing. You're well within your rights if they don't answer you. I am getting calls from them now that I have a "new" number and they are looking for the previous party the number was assigned to. I told them that this was a new number for me and if they call again I will report them to the police. No more calls.

I've received calls from this number.  The first time I answered, a man said he had the wrong number & hung up.  They've called back, & I answered it to hear an automatic voice say "We'll be with you soon.  Please hang on."  I hung up.

Solution:
Take there address if they will give to you.
Write to them telling them to stop all phone calls. Send it certified mail with a signature required.

Then if they continue to call, you can take up your case against them.

They (collectors) assume you that you do not have they knowledge or the stomach to take them to court, so they will tell you every manor of lie they can think of to accept the debt(pay 5 dollars or simply say yes,threats, lies). Once you do, regardless if it is truly yours or not, it is now your legal responsibility.

Please remember these people lack morale fiber, they are the anything for a buck crowd. Do not trust anything that they say. We should pity them.

How does someone invade your privacy by calling your house looking for one of your associates?? Tell them they have the wrong number. Wow. Its not invasion of privacy... not telemarketing or solicitation, they can call until you tell them wrong number. As far as saying its a personal matter, I'm sure it is personal. Relay the message to your associate, have them call, and find out if they would've wanted the company telling you all about them and the reason for there calls.

Debbie, if you just refianced your house, and you have debts, why didnt you take a lil extra money out to pay them off. And your morgage broker is an idiot if they let you refiance, with outstanding debts. I believe one of the main reasons the economy is so terrible is because people such as yourself, dont pay the money they owe. And continually blame the economy and other poor a** excuses as to why a bill from whenever hasnt had a payment since 2003. Try and be honest and say you haven't had 50.00 to pay towards the balance since then. Too funny. Collection agencies are not authorized to pull your credit report. If you're not aware, any loan office, morgage lender, bank, credit card company, employer ect.. needs your written/verbal authorization to pull your credit. Why are you hiding from your debts. You obviously know you owe the money, pay it and they will quit calling. Hmmm too easy... instead your writing a blog complaining about how stupid the company is. Hey atleast they know where your parents live, have your ssn and bday, as well as other info on you, and will find you eventually, and hopefully put a judgement against you and garnish your wages since you want to go the easy route in repaying for services or goods you received. Lady valled me today saying she was a collection agency trying to collect a debt from T-Mobile.  I used to be with T-Mobile so I listened. They asked for mny birthday and i gave it to them but they said it was a few days off their records...That was the red flag i needed. She then said have you applied for credit and i told her i had just refinanced my house within the last year and this debt was supposedly from 2006.  She then asked for the last 2 digits of my social security number and became very irritated that i wouldnt give her ant more info.  She claimed she could find out whatecev she needed to about me.  I told her fine.  Put it in writing to me and send it certified mail and we will do this the legal way.  She then claimed i either needed to give her the info or i needed to clear it up with T-Mobile myself.  
I calle T-mobile and in 5 minutes they checked my former acct and said it was at zero and the acct of my ex wife...

This number is from a collection agency and it's legit.  I just called back and they have my info. for a speeding ticket that went into collections so, I would recommend you following up to see what you all have in collections.  The name of the company is Credit Management.

Asked for me and told me I owed $57 to Walgreen's.  I don't shop at Walgreen's.  I am reporting this number to the Wisconsin Attorney General.

I, too, received a phone call from these people.  These are the most unprofessional people in the world!!!  The stupid woman asked me a bunch of questions regarding someone, then hung up in my face.  The person she was looking for is deceased.  I've emailed this company and told them how unprofessional and disrespectful their representatives are.  Maybe if they wouldn't stoop to such tactics people would be willing to set up payment plans w/these nutz.
