2 days ago one guy had called from this number 9250509952 saying that he is an advocate in Delhi District Court and Airtel has filed a case against me for non-payment of dues. "Do you want to proceed with the case or close it?" If the case is filed I need to pay 22000/- to Airtel as fine. And today one lady has called me from the same number saying that she is an advocate in Delhi District Court detailing the same matter and I need to pay the due by 5:00pm today. In fact, I have requested to surrender my broadband connection on 23-03-2013 by paying the due amount 1774/- in a Airtel relationship centre. And I have the receipt also with me. When I told this to her, she says that the amount is not updated in the system and I have to contact the Airtel relationship centre with the old receipt to update the amount in their system before 5:00pm and that the court will close by 5:00pm. What does this mean?! If she is a genuine advocate then how can she say that the amount is not updated in the system? And Why should I pay the dues as I had already paid the dues till then on 23.03.? That's Airtel issue as they didn't update the system, not mine.

I got a call from the same number and have recorded it. He said to me that case against me is pending in  Court No. 4, Delhi District Court. Can any body suggest if a FIR can be registered to such a non-sense caller. If any body wants the recorded audio, please contact.

Calling from Tata Indicom number itself says that Airtel is afraid that people may book harasement case against them for some of their fault. Hense to escape in future, they use another network.

Actually you can file a cheating case against Airtel for delaying disconnection. Airtel may say system delays etc., but court will not agree for such internal rules of Airtel. Also you can book a harrsmnt case against Airtel for giving you calls and thretenning you. It is Airtel's duty to tell a customer when they go for disconnection to tell your entire outstanding, collect that amount and then disconnect then and there itself. If they can't tell your outstanding because they do not have system updates, or have to wait for bill to come from somewhere, it is their problem. Dont pay them even 1 rupee if it is not your fault. Airtel can not do anything other than employing third party collection agents who try to scare you.

How do you know that he is a collection agent. He really might be an advocate and may be they are really filing a case.
How can you say that he is an Airtel guy. This number is from Tata Indicom network. He might be a real advocate

Same person called me again and made similar statements (adv. from Delhi court).
I had some pending payments after disconnecting my land line, which I was not
able to pay since they disabled the online payment.  I told them to send one person to
my place. But they disagreed. Moreover, after giving the disconnection request, they did
it only after a month and the phone was never used for that period. I do not actually need
to pay for that period. Its not my problem that they took 1 month to disconnect my landline.

This is a collection agent from Airtel. I pity Airtel is employing fools to chase payments. He claims that he is an advocate and a case is already filed against you in Delhi court. He will tell some sections too and tell that you will have to pay them 25,000/50,000 etc if they file the case. This is a method to scare you. Actually people get scared when they hear about legal notice, court, case sections etc.

Some guy claiming to be Advocate Pradeep asking me to pay some Airtel dues, or else a case will be filed against me in Delhi court.
