MY HUSBAND GOT A CALL IN SPANISH FROM SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE A POLICE CAPTAIN IN CALIFORNIA INVESTIGATING AN IMMIGRATION ISSUE ASKING FOR MY BROTHER-IN-LAW.  I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AFTER I SAW IT LISTED AS A SCAM # AND THE GUY WAS VERY RUDE AND LOUD AND TRIED TO BE INTIMIDATING.  AS I GOT LOUDER HE YELLED HE WOULD CALL ME BACK TO PROVE HE WAS WHO HE SAID HE WAS AND HAS NOT DONE SO YET! IDIOTS!

They are a fraud company and keep harrasing me.  Just now. He threatened to kill me

I ignored the call got a voice mail checked the voice mail and they said I being sued , and I better callback ! I tried to call the number back as instructed it rings once and hangs up. I googled the number and found several posts about fraud. thank goodness for sites like this I may have fallen for a fraud :)

got a call from a SCOTT ADKINS, with a East Indian accent. i had suspicion about the call and his threats. Got to know that it's a SCAM. These ppl are are calling from overseas and trying to commit fraud on us AMERICANS. The Justice System should put in end to these harassing and annoying phone call.

I received a call this morning from Craig Miller (Indian accent) from 925-232-0808. He told me I was being sued by Cash Advance USA. I asked him what company this was because I have never done business with someone called Cash Advance USA. He told me I should have already received my papers. He screamed at me, told me I was going to jail and hung up on me. He had my name, phone number, and last four of social. I called the number back that he gave me and another man answered. He gave me a different name, but I think it was the same person. He asked for my case number. I told him I did not have that and kept asking for the name of the company that this suit was from and a supervisor. He told me he was an attorney and there are no supervisors. He then screamed at me and called me a 2 dollar w***e and a b***h and hung up on me. I called the attorney general office's office and was told this was a scam and to ignore it.

I  have gotten threatening harassment calls and voice mails from this number. He refers to himself as scott and says if I don't return his calls that I will be charged with a felony. But when I did try the number back it was weird. Either it said the voice mail was full or I was hung up on. So I called the bbb and the ftc.

I told the man to not call me any more and he cursed me out and hung up in my face. That was very nonprofessional :). I assume it's a scam.

Never have i ever been so mad about something...... i received the same call. I am a single mother, and and doing it all on my own. Scott Adkins left a message on my phone. I called back and believed him. I have made mistakes in my past about my finances and i really thought this was one of them. I almost made the mistake of giving them my info. But soumething didnt sound right. they told me that they were going to notify my work and that a warrent was going to be issued against me for check fraud from a cash advance i recieved. i have done them before but i was sure i paid them back. but you never know. the three mane i came across with them was David jones, Scott Atkens, and Julia Marshall. I am so glad i decited to do some research before i gave them my info. and yes they had my name, phone # and last four of my ssc#. that is scary.

I too got a voicemail at my office from Mr.Indian Accent and I just ignored it. He said "for myself or my aretained attorney to call him back and not to ignore this matter that if I did there was nothing he could do for me. Also he did wish me a blessed day. That part was histerical. I did try to call back and the mail box was full so that right there is a sign of BS, I did just for fun reverse number search the phone number and it said it was from Pasadena California. I reported them as well and if they call back Sucks to be them. Thank you to whom ever started this sight. You are truly helping alot of people including myself out.

This company called my call phone this morning in reference to a friend of mine,  I asked him not to call me again and he called back to back 3 different times.  When he called the last time, I asked for his supervisor and he was put on the phone.  This man was very rude and vulgar, saying very nasty things to me.  He called me a Wh*** and was yelling at me in a different language.  This is a scam, do not call this number back, as you will get a large charge to your phone bill.

I got a call from this number saying i owe money from feb! I never took out a loan! This is a total scam. When i asked what company they wouldnt answer. i then asked for the amount that was due and they didnt have a straight answer as well. They said a random email was contacted that definelty wasnt mine. They then proceeded to say that i was going to be arrested for fraud and money laundering. HA. I contacted the Better Business Bureua as well as the attorny General. What organization doesnt have there clients contact as well as information as how much they are suing for??? Insane. SCAM ARTISTSSSSSS!!!!

What a joke. Call from a Franklin Brown with the same pitch. Indian call center. If I didn't call him or my retained attorney, he wished me good luck. F*** him and his scam. No consumer laws there to protect us here. Filed complaint w/ FTC.

I  received a call that I ignored from 925-232-0808  I got a voice mail message I later reviewed, the message said I was being sued and I better return the call, and they cant give me anymore details. I tried to call the number back and it rings once and hung up on me. then I googled the number and thanks to your posts I l know its a scam. Thank Goodness for this site!!

i got the same call from the 925-232-0808 and the guy said his name was steven bryan and he told me i owed money for a cash advanced and he said i stole the money and i didnt steal any money at all. and  he said i was going to be arrested on monday and i was getting a supena on monday also

Yes, I got this call today with a dude with an Indian accent said he name was Scott and they had my ssn for a case and to give him the name of my attorney.  This same thing happened with another number they tried to do this scam on and I filed it with the FTC.  When I told him this, that its against the law to be contacted after I told him not to, he called back after I hung up on him and asked 'why did you hang up on me" and I said, "LOOK, YOU ARE A SCAM AND I HAVE IDENTIFIED YOU ONLINE AS A SCAM,  IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO CONTACT ME ON THIS PHONE OR AT WORK AND YOU HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE FTC WITH AN ACTIVE REFERENCE NUMBER TO THIS INCIDENT.  DO NOT CONTACT ME ANY MORE AND IF YOU ARE RECORDING THIS CALL, WHICH BONAFIDE COLLECTION AGENCIES DO, YOU WILL FURTHER NOTE THAT YOU ARE A SCAM AND HAVE BEEN VERBALLY REQUESTED FROM CONTACTING ME IN THE FUTURE."   That did it...
