This number called. I let it ring. If number comes in UNAVAILABLE and I don't recognize them, and party does not leave a message, I put them on Duotone Call Blocker. They will get a busy signal from now on. Ashholes.

This is a scam, called back few times on different days, just the voice answer, no one pick up the phone, be aware of scammers !!!

A-holes called me at 11:40 on Saturday 7/6/13.  I have always been on the DNC list.  Caller ID said  Moraga, CA.  I picked up, ready to tell the person to F-off and I was going to sue their A$$, but nobody answered.

Police organizations are now permitted to solicit funds for fallen officers,. It is illegal and a conflict of interest. Individual departments have death benifits and insurance for just this reason.

Still calling. Still blocking.

Remember when an Officer has been killed on the job. His/her family gets a huge life insurance pay out, plus the spouce get his pay check for ever. Also all funeral expeneses are paid by the department he/she worked for. As he died/was killed in the line of duty. The spouse may even get some federal funds.

Calls on a weekly basis! No idea who they are, they never leave a message and when I do answer there is no one there.

What a great idea ... play dumb and waste their time!!!  I'll try that next time.

Received the call from this number on June 17 on my home phone. Didn't answer.

As of 6/13/13, this number was still calling me repeatedly.

After seeing this calling me for awhile, I decided to answer. Has the Morage CA called ID.

Claims to be a charity for disabled or for widowed police organization.

Wanted to mail me something, but told him that I already donated to the local police fund, but kept insisting I needed to donate $15 to them, and would mail me a package. Then asked for my address.

Has fraud written all over it, told them I am not interested and to not call again.

got the call, called them back and told them to take me off their list.  The same was stated by them, funny,  when i called back there was no company name   just  "hello"   must be a scam

This is a scam there is some kind of troyan or tracking virus in one of my computers and  my phone after I try to log into my bank  the web site send me a text message to my phone with a password but I never receive it, some how it redirects it to this jerk but he needs more information to access my bank account so he calls saying he is calling for some police charity trying to get more information. I try logging into my bank account three times since I notice this and right after he calls.
I am reformatting that computer.  Don't give this jerk any personal info, he will rob you.

It's "Diane" from "Carpet Care" and "Rachel" from the numerous "lower your interest" schemes that has set a new course of adventure in a charity scam. Right? Probably not but I wouldn't dismiss these cons operating under one umbrella. These calls will continue. And instead of blowing my stack I just like to waste the callers time playing dumb with them. The callers are dummies. They're nothing more than sly idiots who think that their cold calling will yield any profit.

called no message left.  caller ID said Moraga Ca.  Could the do not call list please do their job and stop calls like this.  I now have a list of 93 unwanted calls.

Called same time yesterday and today, did not answer, no VM

Well if you call the number, but first doing a, "*67," to block your caller id from being displayed, at least in AT&T territory, you will see that you get a DISC recording. In another words some scammster is spoofing that number probably from a PC, which is easy enough to do. Heck if you have Google voice, you can type in an OUTGOING number change to any number you want.

Grrr. Yup, they are hounding me too.

Same deal as above: The old "Police Lodge" scam where a few pennies out of each dollar donated go to actually help and the remaining cash lines the pocket of the telemarketer. It's a dirty trick and the number is now blocked.

THIS NUMBER CALLED ME FRIDAY, May 10th.... did not answer it, they did not leave a message. Have no idea who they are and want them to be stopped. NOW..... Lucy L Hirsch

Since I screen ALL calls, didn't get a chance to talk to these jerks recently. Got similar calls before I had caller ID. The guy (all the callers were male) usually states he's from some police organization seeking funds either to help cops and their loved ones or to help needy families. A good friend of mine was actually going to send them money (she's poor and on SSI) until I told her about these scammers. How many millions of dollars are being spent by people who can barely survive on their income, going to these monsters who pray on them?

Why can't THE POLICE find and prosecute these jerks? After is in THEIR name these scams are perpetrated. And this isn't even the Internet. It's done on the telephone which is, as far as I know, vastly easier to trace then some rogue website. These people have gotten away with too much for too long!

Got a call from this telemarketer.  Claims to represent the Moraga Police Department and FOP organization.  Also in our local news this week, the police chief of Moraga discussed the scam, this firm does not represent them, and said his department is attempting to locate the caller, additionally, that Moraga does not have an FOP organization.

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge.  Dude on phone said proceeds were to support remaining family of fallen officers killed in the line of duty.  I asked what percentage of funds went to the beneficiaries.  He asked if I wanted to sign up for Gold or Silver level contributions.  I asked, "Are you not going to answer my question, which was what percentage of your fundraising proceeds go to overhead and what goes to the beneficiaries?"  

Dudester responded "In accordance with State Law, I am required to inform you that not less than ten percent of the proceeds go to the beneficiaries..."  

I interrupted him and said that that number was inadequate, and that the proper response for a legitimate charity would be 90%, said thank you and hung up.

DO NOT ANSWER - these guys say they are raising money for a good cause and pocket 90% of it!

Whoever this is has called 6 times and every time I pick up, no answer.

First time did not answer, they called me for a second time today, picked up, no answer, then I hanged up.

Why these people bother so much?

Stated he was from the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge. That's all I needed to hear before hanging up.
