They have left me messages in the past that they need an emergency shop done. By the time I have received the message the shop has already been completed or expired, but I like the advice on negotiating the fee. That's a great idea!

This is a great company. You won't get rich off of it but it can pay a few of your bills a month. For example, if you like to get paid to eat at McDonald's AND reimbursed for what you paid for the food, this is the place!

They didn't leave a message.  Just one ring and they hung up so I'm not sure what they want or are selling .    I am on East Coast but other reports indicate that they are in California near Martinez/Concord.    I am NOT a member of Marketforce so I am baffled.

Marcketforce is a mystery shopping company. I did some shops sometime ago they are ligit.

Also received this call and yes it is Marketforce.  I agree with the poster who explains that they call only after you have signed up to be a secret shopper for their company (or for another secret shopping company that was later purchased by MF).
I also agree that these calls are made when they have a shop that they need completed quickly, or a special assignment that they want handled by an experienced shopper.  They are more likely to negotiate their price with you at that time and I personally have been able to sometimes get them to agree to double their first offer.
If their records are outdated and you are not a Marketforce shopper, I'd advise you to simply answer the phone and explain this.  They are not telemarketers, are not trying to sell anything, are not trying to get your money (they are actually trying to GIVE you THEIR money!) and are a professional organization.  Just tell them that the phone number no longer belongs to their employee and I'm sure they will update their records.
For the record, I have done Mystery Shopping for several companies, and Market Force is one of the only ones I continue to work with.  They are easy to deal with, professionals through and through.

It is Marketforce. They only call if you work for them or have worked for them and they are trying to get a shop completed that no one else has signed up (this is a PERFECT time to negotiate shop fee; I have done it several times when they call me).

So answer or call them back to make that money!!!!!!!!!!

They are not a telemarketer company

I have worked for them for several years and have no problems getting assignments. If they call you, it is for an emergency shop or a shop they are having trouble assigning. Regular shops are not assigned over the phone.

Number is Marketforce probably CFA division.  They called you because you are a registered and/or active shopper/auditor with them probably to schedule work for you.  If you don't want them calling you or to work for them you have to deactivate your account online.

I used to work for them and would never leave messages either. 90% of the time your only chance of making an assignment was getting someone on the other end to convince to do it.

This is Market force a secret shopper company and they only call if you have worked for them in the past, have a current assignment, or have signed up online for their shopper network. This isn't a bill collector. I called back and it is definitely Market Force.
