how did they get my cell #??

I called back. It is a machine calling to say they are calling about my eligibility to get a reduction in my auto insurance.  hold on to be connected to a live agent.  yeah  no thanks.

I pressed one for a person and ask ed them what the company name was. I was told Auto Insurance Placement Center. I asked if they follow the do-not-call list and he said they got my phone number from a national list. He offered to remove me from the list, then hung up.

This number called my cell phone when I had stepped away for a few minutes.  Good thing I did not answer - I have little patience for telemarketers.

I did not recognize the number  when it called my cell phone.  I did not answer.

I accepted the call, but didn't say anything.  The call ended automatically.  I hate to receive such kind of call.

Yep - a scam, trying to pose as the DMV informing me that I'm currently overpaying for my car insurance.

Definitely a scam.

A shame it comes from a 925 number, as my cell is in the 925 area code, so I couldn't tell that it wasn't just someone trying to get ahold of me.

Insurance scam.. DO not give them your info. They will steal your identity.

donotcall.gov will bloke these people and you have to re register every 5 years but it takes about 2 weeks to get you in the system

same spam number just hit both my ACS cell and tracfone. Did not answer thanks to google and this site.

Danville, CA, on my AT&T cell. Didn't answer it, glad I didn't now. They also didn't leave a message

Another Kenai, Alaska ATT customer.
Same story as everyone else. They called around 10:30am on 2013/04/23. I did not answer, and the message was just a couple seconds of silence.

Did not pick up  Also Alaskan cell.  ACS.

Just received the call. Did not answer because I didn't know the number, but it looks like they are definitely making their rounds in AK

Got the call on my ATT cell number, did not answer because I didn't recognize the number.  No message.  Listed as a Danville, CA number.

This was a missed call on my cell, did not recognize the the number. Decided not to call back. I have been receiving a lot of survey calls on home line as well but not from this number.

They didn't get your number from the DMV.  They called me on a private number that the DMV doesn't have.

Stupid robo-calling telemarketer.  Fishing for any sort of name, credit card number, or anything else they can get.

I got a robo call from this number.  Stated my number was released by the DMV for the state.  I doubt that.  Also stated I am paying too much for my auto insurance.

I also recieved a call on my cell but it was on silent I dont call back cause I know it's a tele marketer cause I get these kind of calls all the time I just ignore them

This number called my unlisted AK cell on April 11th 2013.

Anchorage here.  Also called my cell # just ignored it, said california for caller id.  Sounds like a phishing scam and they are just calling random 907 cell numbers

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! They did not have a name of their company when i went through to find out who they were, when they answered I asked how they recieved my number and it is a random auto dial. They hung up on me when they relized I was not going to give them my inforamtion for "cheep auto or home insurance" and when you attempt to call back the phone automatically hangs up on you.
