Just got a call on my business line, so they don't know my real name, but when I answered the phone there was just a ringing, as if I called them. My phone is showing this is from Winslow, AZ.  I live in AZ, so it being a business call didn't seem out of line.  Can't believe this has been going on for over 3 years!  Think phone company would have pulled the plug on these peeps.

The Fortune 500 company you mentioned has a number using a Pakistan based area code spam call number by the name of Fred Peko. It is an work at home online marketing business which may not be legit.  They have many mobile phone number for each country they spammed to call unsuspected people to do their online business. Just checked the number online and you'll find out that it's widespread spamming around the world.

What the point of this message board? Just chat about people from collection companies and selling stuff and harassing them and calling people? Is this actually going to help people stop getting the calls from these people or companies or creditors? If this just chat board then the people from the collection company and telemarketers are going to keep calling people and keep harassing people and selling stuff and trying to collect money till someone actually does something about these people calling people trying to sell stiff or collect money and people change their numbers all the time and getting calls from people hat had that number before and most of these post are over 5 years old. Has anyone done anything these calls or sites or message boards?

I live in Auckland New Zealand and I am getting phone calls from this number ( 009-282-240-377 ) and I would like to know where they are coming from. It looks like a local Auckland calling number, but when I call the number I get a messenge saying that the number is not in use.

Why would anyone go through changing their phone number for one telemarketer?  Tell them to put you on the do not call list, file a complaint with the CRTC and move on.  And no phone provider will ever just change your number for free simply because you're getting telemarketing calls.

This number miscall me and glad to search it. I guess this is a spam call. WHO are they................What do they want? Please notify if its a trick call.

recieved 2 calls with the hour one evening. didn't recognise the number or code so did not answer. found out number is a Pakistan number.

I just received a call from this number too - something to do with an online affiliate group and working from home.  I think it was one of those work from home scams.  I told him that I wasn't interested.  Any more calls from them and I'll take some extra steps to stop them calling.

Called (888) 700 3962 (their 800 number) several times, finally got through to a rep, asked to be placed on their do not call list, he said he couldn't cause he doesn't know my number and promptly hung up on me.  So called several more times and had the same experience.  The third go-round, I spoke with a gentleman who told me he doesn't have a do not call list but will give my number to a manager/supervisor to make sure my number doesn't get called again, but that they get their numbers on a sheet of paper every morning and he's not sure where the numbers come from.

Had a call from this number tonight but didn't answer, I dont usually if I dont know the caller unless I am expecting a call from someone I don't know. As usual if it's a pretty randon number ( I live in the U.K.) I check it out on google. So far the forums I have looked at have cited the number as being from either Pakistan, Arizona or Winslow, again in the U.S. I was kind of expecting a call from the states but have since realised this would probably not be it. As for the suggestion in an earlier post, I don't want to change my number, I have had the same number for nearly 15 years and am not going to change it now because of some random caller. If it continues I will investigate further and endeavour to post any results on here.

My car got broken into and among the items that were stolen was my boyfriend's phone.  I looked at the phone records on Sprint and the only number called was this one!

I got an e-mail from someone I know and they phoned today.  It was a get rich internet scam. It wasn't $20.00 though. They wanted $139.95 and when they asked me for my credit card information, I hung up, They called twice after that but didn't respond.  I did a reverse phone lookup and the number is coming from Winslow, Arizona. Don't answer the phone number.  It is a scam!!

its a scam...once they have ur number they will never stop calling...so your going to need to change ur number...aswell as a email address if they have that aswell.....they will send emails looking like ur address to people you know acting like you to get more info!! trying to get them to send money swell....changer ur number...dont  pay anything at all!!!  aswell if you have voice mail and ur name is on there thats a another way of them saying ur name over the phone. paypal credit card whatever DO NOT SEND!! change ur phone number...tell ur phone company ur getting harassed and they should changer ur number for free!!!

I also received a call from this number.  I didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number.  They didn't leave a message.  Based on the info supplied by everyone else I assume it is a scam of some sort.  I registered a complaint on the DNC site "https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx".  The more people on the DNC list who register a complaint, the more likely they will have to move to another number.  Any irritation or inconvienence I can cause them for calling me is just a slight benefit.

entered my name and number in that stupid get rich quick scheme but same thing, quit when they wanted my money. too good to be true!! now im getting at least 10 calls a day mostly unknown ID but one had the 928-224-0377 number. i did end up talking to a lady and she said "i assume you are over 18" to which i replied yes, then she said "and i see you already have a major credit card account"!!?! i didnt ask how she knew that i just hung up. BE VERY CAREFUL!!! its a scam, something called US online home business...not sure, i wasnt listening too carefully...

Ok... there has to be some way for all of us who were scammed, to get our money back! Consider yourselves all lucky! I also received an email from a very trusted, dear friend of mine, thinking that she would never steer me wrong, I paid the $79... discounted from $99... So basically, I paid to be harassed! It said money back guarantee, naturally I thought... what's the harm in checking it out... there has to be some way to stop these people!
