I got a call from Ohio Premier (10/29/08) on my cell phone, which shocked me like the others above, as I don't give my cell phone number out very often, and only to friends. Same story as related above (job opportunity) only her name was "Tish".  Same location in Miamisburg, Ohio. I recently was laid off - so wondered if someone actually referred me, or if somewhere I had applied for job had sold my name. They have changed their phone number - it is now 937-247-0966. I don't have Verizon, by the way...still wonder how they are getting cell phone numbers and unlisted numbers. Thanks for enlightening me about this scam!

I found an interet post from a guy who actually went to their office for the "presentation". He even gives Ohio Premier's actual street address. Here is a link to the post:

http://homeschoolresource.blogspot.com/2007/10/mlm-schemes.html

and here is an excerpt:

Ohio Premier is located at 195 Byers Road in Miamisburg, Ohio. It is a suburb of Dayton. (If you?ve ever thought about doing a work-at-home plan about selling ?health and wellness? things, you should read on anyway.)

I could find nothing about Ohio Premier on the Internet, which was a warning sign in and of itself. (That is part of the reason for this write-up.) A co-worker's husband (who also attends the university I do - that's why I'm also posting this at Facebook) had been contacted by Ohio Premier, but he had not followed up.

So I went.

Ohio Premier is a front for Symmetry ( http://www.symmetryinternational.com/ ) a direct marketing company that has a multi-level marketing component. (You sell to a few people, then you get a cut of the people they refer, and so on.) They sell herbal supplements, including "Genesis", laughably labeled "the infused Bible juice". As the CAI points out (link at the bottom), 99.96% of the people who get involved with Symmetry LOSE MONEY. Only 0.04% makes money.

Update: Sara just called me back and said, as I see in previous posts, that they are a "health and wellness company" and she had got my phone number from an "incomplete referral, just a number on a piece of paper that someone had left saying they thought I might be interested in a business opportunity" but did not have the name of the person who made such a referral because it was "incomplete". She said they have many people come through their offices and had no way of finding out who wrote the "incomplete referral". Sara said she was sorry she must have gotten a wrong number. I told Sara that I found all these posts on this site and that it looked like she got an awful lot of wrong numbers and I did not think that was cool. I asked her to remove my number from any records and she said she would.

I just got a call from Sara, Thursday Aug 14 2008 at about 3:53 PM. She said I don't know if I have this number right but I'm looking for someone who is looking for a job opportunity. I told her that I wasn't but because I have had trouble with unsolicited messages recently I decided to search the number. I see that I'm not the only one who has had this problem. I called back and left Sara a voice mail message that I want to know exactly where she got my number. She did not call me by name. I don't have Verizon anymore since I switched to ATT (to get an iphone) but I kept my old Verizon phone number so it still could be a Verizon thing.

I literally JUST got a call from this number (937-247-0406) and someone who identified themselves as "Sarah" (she did not mention any company that she was with) stated something along the lines of "I don't know if I have the correct number or not but is someone at this number looking for work".  I'm currently AT work, so I said "no I'm not" and then she asked if anyone at the number is, to which I again replied "no" (since they called me on my cell phone). Oddly enough, after the fact I remembered that my gf currently IS looking for work, so I thought she may have put my number down on an application, but when I asked her she said she had not (unless by accident).  On a whim I Google'd the number and found this page.  It seems quite odd that "Sarah" would be contacting so many people out of the blue.  Also, I did notice a lot of background noise going on during my short talk with her (i.e. people talking and/or other things).  This definitely sounds incredibly shady to me and is most likely some sort of scam and/or telemarketing related.

I too received a call this morning 7/15/2008 from "Sarah" of Health & Wellness (consultation) on my cell phone.  Just tried to say they promoted their products by word of mouth and "someone" gave them my name and number as a person who would be interested in joining their marketing program.

I do not give my cell number to anyone but friends/family.  I told her I would call her if I was interested.  WEIRD!

Weird. I JUST got this call and Googled the company. Couldn't find any information so I Googles the number and reached this site. Weirdest thing ever. I wonder what it's about. She also said it was by referral and couldn't give me much information.

I received a phone call too - went to voicemail and I haven't returned it but was wondering if it was legit so I searched the number.  She said the same thing in her message - that I don't know her directly but that she got my name from a referral and heard I might be looking for part-time work (I'm currently employed full-time already) and if I was to please call her back.  She said she was calling me (by name) which was odd I thought since I don't give out my cell # unless it was to friends.  This is a fairly new cell # for me though - so wondered if it was just verizon users they were targeting.  Weird.

Sara from Ohio Premiere in Miamisburg, OH, called for my daughter about a job opportunity at this "health and welness company".  When I asked how she got our unlisted number, she said it was by referral, which she would not disclose.  (We don't give out our unlisted number to anyone and my daughter uses her cell number for her personal business.)  I Googled Ohio Premiere and found blogs about this scam.
