Same thing. Get calls from the number here at our business, about "yellow pages". Went to ask the guy to remove me from their list, he hung up on me.

I called the number back that was on caller id, I got a "this number has been disconnected" message. So they are masking the caller id with a bad number somehow??

Heavily-accented male voice saying his name was "Allen" calling for "local yellow pages". I didn't even let him finish his opening spiel, just firmly repeating the word "NO" a few times until he just hung up on me. I know not to say anything resembling a yes to these types of calls.

They say they are calling on behalf of "yellow pages" to update your listing but they are not yellow pages. They are asking questions & tell you to answer "yes" after each question. If you don't then they start all over.

Same here.  Probably a computer just collecting phone numbers of people who answer calls from unidentified numbers.  They sell these lists to telemarketers who are now "surveys" to circumvent the do-not-call legislation.

they call, I answer, no one is there... reverse look up shows unpublished # from Hillsboro, OH...  who is this and what do they want?
