Dp&l just lost another loyal customer.  Same problem as others. The 855-674-3753 removal number does not work.   Says call cannot be completed as dailed

Receiving 3 to 4 calls a day from this number 937 583 4080 they leave no message and if answer they hang up.  We are on a no call list for telemarketers

Since 12-19-13 I have received about 10 calls from these morons and on 12-26 I got 3 in one day. I never answer them because my answering machine only rings twice, but today (12-30) I called them back. They have a recording that also says 'this call is for survey or sales purposes' then hangs up. This is annoying and I want to know exactly what the heck the DO NOT CALL registry is for if they can still call and harass me? I have a friend that claims she gets NO unsolicited calls at all because she's on the 'Do not call list" and maybe I should get on it too. I just want to pull her hair out of her head because I have been on it since DAY ONE and still get these unwanted calls. So glad I have caller ID but they are annoying because they call from 9 am to 9 pm.

Same as all the other complaints; however, I did a search and it returned that number is for LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS LLC in Lewisburg, OH.  Where is our little Attorney General, Mikey DeWine on this?  Too busy wasting our tax money suing Obamacare?

They have called me five times on 12/17/13. Looks like I may be filing a police report for harassment.

Per DPL Energy on 12/13/13:
*They took my info to be added to their DO NOT CALL LIST.
*It was suggested I Call DP&L (1-800-433-8500).
*Ask DP&L to remove you from ALL solicitating lists.
-This will stop DP&L from giving your number to the other companies.

At this point, anything is worth trying.

Yes, it really is DPL energy.  I have changed my energy provider to an alternative because of the continued harassment from DPL.  I do not have business relationships with companies that practice telemarketing harassment and DP&L/DPL has lost a customer because of this unethical and annoying practice.

DP&L Energy is DP&L.  They, have a sister company which they run competitive energy rates though, since regular DP&L's prices are regulated by the government.

Have called me the last couple days, leaves no message.  Today called twice, left no message.  DP&L did call me last month about the plan I'm on and a upcoming change.  The number they called from was an 800 # not a 937 # however.  I did call DP&L back and it was a legit call.  This one with no message and a local # makes me suspicious.

Annoying automated telemarketing call center, to be sure, but not necessarily a scam. Shouting, "WARNING!!!  NOT DP&L!!!" is probably an overreaction. This is likely a legitimate sales call. But like all O.B.T.M. calls, verifying that the caller REALLY works for the company they claim (in this case DPL Energy), not some phishing expedition, is the tricky bit.

From DPL Energy's website: "DPL Energy and the Dayton Power and Light Company are separate but affiliated companies." "DPL energy" is a legitimate company selling electricity in the Dayton area. Though not IDENTICAL with DP&L on paper, it's DP&L.

DPL Energy is DP&L's IN-HOUSE power generation supplier. Other suppliers you may have heard of include: Constellation NewEnergy, Star Energy, First Energy, Direct Energy, IGS, and on and on and on. The creation and proliferation of these companies was made possible by the deregulation of the power generation industry.

If you're old enough, you'll remember a similar de-regulation of telephone industry, which meant you were no longer tied to the long distance co chosen by your local phone co. and could switch your long-distance provider to MCI, Worldcom, Sprint, AT&T, etc. Now the same thing is happening to power companies, de-coupling your electric GENERATION from TRANSMISSION and DELIVERY. Also happening to Vectren, who now just DELIVERS the gas, you can choose a different company to SUPPLY the gas for a better rate.

Moved out of state and within days I am getting calls from this number daily. Makes no sense to me.

Claims to be DP&L Energy and attempting to sign folks up for alternate electric rates, Has left messages giving a contact phone for more info or to sign up: 1-800-319-1356.
