I got an email asking I text them after I posted an ad on craigslist. I emailed them back but no response. I did not text them. That's all I know.

I got an email it said.
"I'm interested in the listed phone and is it still available. You should text me on 940-228-0758 with your final price

Could tell it was spam I didn't respond.

That number was on a responding email for a craigslist post. They Just emailed:

I'm interested. Text me on 940-228-0758 with final price

You guys are right something is just fishy about this.

Same response to our ad, saying "text me the price, thanks, Jerry"  We don't like doing business that way, but texted the price.  Next morning this person says they're interested but don't have time to come look due to a job transfer, and would we accept a certified check as payment, and when it clears they'll have their mover come pick it up.  I texted  we're wary of transactions like this, and that we saw they'd been reported before.  This sort of thing always raises a red flag.

Pretty sure they are a craigslist scammer! Just trying to find the next sucker.
