call asking for a person not at this residence

Yes I got a call from Asset Acceptance Capital Corporation which is a collection agency with offices in various states in the U.S.A.

Caller ID only gives number, 940-295-1785 with Bartonville, TX. Asset Acceptance. Recorded message requests a return call to 1-800-525-8022.

Got a call from them today. Sounds like some kind of SCAM. They said I owed them $1,600 for rent from 4 years ago. They said they would be willing to settle the debt for $400. I advised them I was onto their scam and will report them to the FCC. Said that these people have nothing better to do than to try and scam people out of their hard earned money instaed of going to work like everybody else to make a living

They keep calling out phone. It is a recorded message that we cannot understand. Who are they and how do we stop this?

These b*****ds keep calling and calling at all hours of the day. They even call on weekends and holidays. Yeah, Sundays and Thanksgiving too.
It is either a pre-recorded message for someone else, or a dead line.

This people keep calling my number about 2-3 times a week asking for Jamie and threatening by saying that Jamies needs to call or her legal counsel needs to call.  I called back and told that I dont know anyone by the name of Jamie and that they have the wrong number.  They repeated the number that they called and it was not my number.  They said that what was they dialed and I told them that was not the number they reached.  They continue to call and I picked up and they still insist they called that number for Jamie.  I am not Jamie and they keep calling my number and leaving threatening messages.

ever sence ATnT bought out Cing.  some how my phone number got attached to my fathers account as a contact number even though my phone number is 6 years old and the account they are calling was closed but not settled 7 years ago. Even though I gave them my fathers new number to contact him to settle this  they keep calling me and i don't even live in the same state as my father now, and my phone number not even in the same state area codes. I would recomend if you get any calls from these people recorde time and date to save for herasment lawsuit.

Asset Acceptance - keeps calling our business office looking for terminated employee - won't stop, even though we tell them it's a business and to stop.
