I am a member of the do not call list, I have repeatedly asked these folks not to call me.  These people will not stop.  I wish they would go away..........forever!

If enough people submit or file a complaint to Class Action Suit (a site) maybe the class action people would take it on. I'm not in this for profit. Enough is enough. When you look up txfop it is listed as a business with a C rating. The phone  carriers at are well aware of their activity & should be included in your statement to the class action people. Also a call to the State Attorney Generals Office may help. If the A. G. gets enough complaints we might get some action

This is not really the FOP. The FOP does not raise funds this way--I spoke with our local department.

This is a quasi legal--they use loop holes to offer promotions, etc. for donations. In fact the minimum legal requirement does go to the FOP. The legal minumum requirement very very low.

The FOP reports that many of these operatiosn DO brake the law, are shut down reulalrly and often are run by criminals or exconvicts.

If if you mistakenly anwer the phone--at least do not give them the money

Fraternal Order of Police (FOP)  using several different numbers to make contacts they are very persistent and it is bordering on Harassment.  I am acquainted with several Police Officers and I can find  no one in law enforcement that knows anything about this group.  I have been told that only about 1% of the money they collect goes toward law enforcement,just enough to keep the Federal lawe enforcement off their backs.  If you wish to assist contact your local police department and ask which charities they endorse, many have a charity for fallen officers and firefighters that is a worth while cause..

They can make these calls because they claim to be a charity, Do not call lists do not include charitable organizations.

I keep adding these Fraternal Order of Police scam a**holes to my call blocking.  Whenever they call and get blocked, they call again from yet another number.

It's also worthwhile to note that, while the TX FOP proudly display a BBB logo on their home page, reading the fine print of the report shows that the BBB does NOT consider these clowns a charity.

I answered call. didnt say anything. they hung up. i hit redial to find out who it was and yes its  Texas Fraternal Order of Police Texas. they have a menu and select the option to be removed from their list.

Got a call from 940-295-1898, but they don't leave a msg.  I don't pick up.  I just check this website to see if others have gotten a call from the same number. Yep TX FOP...its not the first time they call,  I never pick up so they stop but a few months later they start calling again.  FUNDS?   Most of us are trying to hold on to what we have.  At least they have a good job, good pay, good insurance....give the rest of us a break!

I had a call on my answering machine from this number, but the caller hung up without leaving a message.  The name was blocked.  This is an invasion of my privacy and I want it stopped.  I have been on the "do not call list" for over six months.

It is from the Texas Fraternal Order of Police! They are trying to raise funds to help policemen and their families for various reasons. Check with your local law enforcement to see if they recognize the agency before offering donations.

I talked to a policeman about these calls and he says that REAL organizations don't do things this way.  These people who are calling give only a few cents on the dollar to FOP and the rest is profit for them.  They give just enough to be able to call themselves what they do.  Just tell them no and hang up if you even answer.

I been getting a call from this so called TX FOP every day now. This is a fraud scam caller. They call me with a different masking number each day. Area code is either from a Houston or Dallas area.  Sometimes leave some goofy message reply to my answer machine saying "sorry, I did not hear you, sorry we'll just call back later".  Also on the do not call list... national and state. Trace each call wotj *57 then notify local authorites and tell them you want to prosecute for harrasment.

Calls every other day or so and doesn't leave a message.

TX FOP, they are calling for donations for the TX Family of Police(officers).

Repeated calls on my Caller ID from this number. No message. I am on the Do Not Call lists. I do not make donations over the phone. Ever.

Does anyone know how to stop these calls or put them to where they wont call at all

Received the same call {940 295 1898} a while ago, and ID states "Argyle TX".
This organization uses different names and tel. nbrs. at times, so as not
to be identified. They claim to collect funds for police officers. Once you
donate, they call again in a month or so, claiming to collect for Fire Fighters; and it goes on and on. You see all the decals on cars in the form of police badges with dates like, support for 2007, 2008, 2009 etc??? Check
with the BBB on this, and support instead "The Red Cross" etc.......
