called house phone and hung up.  I'm registered on the Do Not Call list, but it doesn't seem to stop these people

This is my phone number.
But i swear. i didnt make any of these phone calls.

Received call at at 7:30 am on 9/11/2007 I missed the call by two seconds and called back and received the "were sorry, this is not a working number" message.

Is there some agency that handles these type calls? Somewhere it can be reported? What about soem of you tech guys, is there any way to get a trace on this call?

Called my house today at exactly 2:00pm. It rang twice and when I called the number back it was being fowarded to a 290-???? number.

Got this call again tonight after several out of area ones today.  Never answer if I don't know the caller or number.  I was told they hang up because they are only trying to get a time frame you answer for different companies so they can then call to do surveys or charity donations etc . That gets around the no call list since they don't actually talk to anyone.

received call from this number and said hello and no response, waited a minute or so then heard click and dial tone. coincidentally my fax line rang also at the exact same time but don't have caller id on that line.  3:45 pm

Had this number on my caller ID - call came in about two and a half hours ago.  Called it back b/c I am keeping a list of people that violate my "no call".  Anyhow, no message was left and when I called the number back I got that I reached another number -- the one someone posted several messages up... and to leave a call back-- which I did not.

Google has this as a Denton area code...

Just received this phone call, it's a company looking for donations.

1:00 pm got call from 940-696-8700 no answer when called back I got the mailbox was full and they didnt leave a message on my machine.

This is a first for me, but it seems these calls go out once everyday at about the same time between 8:30pm to 9pm

The call came in at 8:50 p.m. I answered the phone and they hung up. Didnt call back didnt leave a message just called once today so far. Maybe its a computer glitch thats calling all across the state. Or one bored prankster with alot of free time!

Get these calls a couple of times a week, usually in the evening. Caller hangs up when answered. What's the point?

Called my house at 8:58 PM on 07/13/07 and when I answered the phone, I heard the phone dial back and then silence. I said hello, then muted my phone and left it one for 1 minute and nothing happened.

received call through Callwave while on internet, showed 940-696-8700 from wichita falls, texas while ringing-  hang up without message left on Callwave

i'm wondering if maybe... all of us whom have recived this call may have something in common that could cause us to recive this call. if anyone has any idea please give me feedback because if there is a person behind these anoying calls (that make clicling sounds when they hang up) i would love to see him cought.

i kept getting these calls that don't show up on my caller id so... i decided to put a message on my anwser machine saying that i would not anwser any calls that didn't show up on my caller id. and now i have started getting calls from 1-904-696-8700 tx and 1-866-764-1408. i dosen't scare me but if there is a person behind it i would love to see him or her(more likely him) exposed. so that we can meet face to face man to man. it seems logical to think that it is a computer error or a person with alot of free time. this has been going on fo about 3 years

We received a call from this number, no message left on the house phone and at my husband's studio.  Our home phone is unlisted, but the business is not.

We called back and got a number and told box was full

Called number back. Message said i called 290-8700.

If you'll check out that number's address on Google it is not a valid address in Wichita Falls
