This number calls me and makes the sound a fax machine or modem gives.  It's annoying. Hope it stops soon.

This number, and other 940 and 817 numbers, have called our business lines multiple times.  No fax (sounds like a fax tone),no way to look them up or ask them to stop calling. Companies affiliated with these numbers are: Affordaphone Inc., Max-Tel Communications, Inc.  Filing a Junk Fax 1088 Form with the FCC and filing a complaint with the FTC, recommend you do so as well.  The more people who report this, the louder we are, the faster authorities may to something about it.

I continue to get calls from 940-898-6264 and when I answer there is no response and then I hear a click.  I am contacting my phone company and hopefully they can tell me how to get rid of this frustrating caller.
