My ideas : Every time they call you, Hold a phone up to another while on is on speakerphone as you pick it up. It'll create a horrible, loud, high pitched squeel. They'll learn eventually.

Either that or get a lawyer to serve them with a cease and desist, if they don't just sue them for harassment.

Might want to write down summary information about the call(s). Send them a Cease and Assist with the summary to their Fax machine and mail. I got 2 calls in 2 months. Block the number. I am on the the do not call list and have no business with these people. It would not be impossible in the DC area here to find legal help that could lead to suing them if their practices are illegal.

This number comes up 1-941-747-5137 a husky, pushy lady named "Sharon Markee or Monkey" says call back @ 866-598-2788 ext 205 leaves a message.
I'd like to refer to her as my morning wake up call...when I get to be home at 8am.
Today she left two messages within minutes, one for hub, one for the old premarried me. Then she called a family friend in another state (where they got that number I have no clue-I don't even use that number) leaving another message. She says "call me back you and your retained attorney".
If you know we have retained an attorney Ms. Monkey why don't you call him instead?
Good thing for technology and Voice Memo. Transfer messages from one phone to another within a minute! You betcha I keep notes. I may not have money, but I have excellent post-job secretary & accounting skills :)

iPhone users, JAILBREAK your iPhone, then go into Cydia and get a program called iBlacklist, it will selectively do whatever you want to a phone number you put in, I have this and a few dozen others set to BUSY SIGNAL, so whenever they call, all they hear is a busy signal, that's it. I could send them to voicemail, pick up the call & hangup, or things like that, those are all options in the program.

Also, SIGN UP FOR A GOOGLE VOICE NUMBER AND USE THAT! Google Voice has the single best feature out there: you can SELECTIVELY BLOCK AN INDIVIDUAL NUMBER! So when they call, that person will hear that your line is disconnected, but everyone else works fine. Google Voice forwards directly to your phone, so all you do is answer (or, like me, you can have it to so that the person has to "announce" their name, when you answer, it tells you who it is - and remembers the person, so they're only asked *once* to put their name in - and when you answer, you quickly press the number 4, they can't hear the beep, and you can RECORD THE CALL!) It's a freakin' awesome FREE service from Google, you can pick whatever number you want (as long as it's not taken; mine spells out a dirty phrase, and I tell bill collectors what it is and to look it up on their keypad before I hang up on them, and selectively block their number. I know it pisses them off!)

If callers are hiding, I have no use for them or their thoughts.
Same for callers that won't leave a message with their own real first name, last name, their actual company name (not "on behalf of" crap), and a call-back number that does not require selecting options... their calls must not be important to the callers.

"What the c*** is that sh--?"  I've been receiving calls daily; sometimes 4-5 times a day.  Really?  Who is this?  They can kiss my a**, and f--- off.  I owe money coz I don't have any, and am facing impending foreclosure (wasn't my mortgage to begin with...my mother passed a few years ago when I was 23).  I don't need this.  I swear, if I get one more call or harassment from anyone, I'm going to kill myself.

do not let this collection agency control the phone call to you. since they called you, you have the right to say whatever you want, just do not threaten them with harm. call them every nasty name in the book. they will yell at you but yell back and call them a bunch of uneducated dirty B*****ds and anything else you can think of...remember if they had a brain they would have a job not work for a collection agency. only uneducated fools who cannot get a job anywhere else and are completly unemployable work for collection agencies. remind them of that. after you call them a stupid f--- hang up on them..

Got a call at 8:30 am on my answering machine, from this number telling me to call 866-598-2788. The call was for someone I never heard of.

I m getting call from this number, 5 times a day regularly. This is really annoying. They are leaving voice mail also. But there is nothing in the voicemail. But i m currently ignoring the calls from them.

Just got a call - "needs a call back".  No mention of company or what the call is about.  We are 2 shades from BK and F/C, so it could be a legit collections call - but I don't have a money tree.  Also, I don't return calls where I don't get enough information from the caller.  Too many scams, harassments that don't help, etc.

PS - the callback number is 866-598-2788 and appears to be related to VALENTINE & KEBARTAS, INC, a debt collection agency

These people called and harrassed my son over an issue that had previously been resolved.  I called to see what the issues were and received a crazy B on the phone who didn't let me talk at all but proceed to rant and rave.  So now she has my office number and cleverly dials the number every few minutes, lets it ring one time and hangs up.  They are nothing but harrassers and should be out of business.

i have been getting harrasing calls from this number!  I dont owe them anything.  I have found out that this is scam that happens to spouses while their husbands are deployed.  They call you and tell you that he owes or that you do.  Do not give them any of your info.  especially your social.  they try to get you to pay them money that you dont owe by harrassing you.  if you do owe to a company they are trying to collect for pay the company directly not to them!  you owe debt collectors nothing!
