I just got a call from 941-914-9329.  The caller ID says VWI.  The guy asked for me by my first name and then hung up.  I do have a debt that is handled by Vengroff Williams but the person I work with is aware I lost my job and the account is on hold.  He is very nice and willing to work with me.  However, the number he calls from comes up as Vengroff Will on caller ID and is not the same one as this one.  Someone is trying to pull something.  I tried to call this number and get some receptionist that does not know the guy I asked for.  Go figure

Harrassed me and said I owed a debt that was paid years ago. But never onece said ""This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose"! I asked for their phone number and she told me to look on my caller ID and to have a nice Valentines and she will mark account as refusal to pay. Pay for what? I owe nothing. She was very rude and yelled at me and said she isn't breaking any laws. I also told her to not contact me again and she laughed and yelled at me more. No person deserves to be treated that way by anyone!

I have an unlisted number and I am on the National Do NOT CALL LIST... This number calls me constantly.

Got a call from this number claiming they had an account in my daughters name....SHE'S TWO YEARS OLD. I had a hospital bill debt years ago that has been paid off completely so I think they may prey on people who have had past debts?? Not legit. Pretty sure my 2 year old isn't racking up the credit cards.

They had my name. Machine calling. I hung up on "this is an attempt to collect a debt" It said it was "<garbled> and associates"

I got a call from this number. I answered it but lost the call.  I called back and got the rudest person inthe world.  She told me I need to check my mail and pay my bills.  All this over $6.  I do recall talking to them before and letting them know I moved and to mail something to me.  well I never got anything.  And they kept hanging up on me.  So I kept calling back.  told them if they mailed me something I would have it.  They said I was wasting there time.  I was like really your the one that called me to begin with.  I lept telling them they were rude and no need to be like that.  I said I am a customer they said no your a debtor and need to pay your bills.  If I could have gone through the phone I would have.  Report these people!!!  no need to be rude to folks.  But I do believe I can handle $6 bill if I would have gotten it in the first place.

Got a phone call from (941)914-9984 as a machine.  They had my name!  They mentioned a company name and an account number but I didn't have a pen nearby.  I also get hang ups when my answering machine answers, so I am thinking these are scammers.  I also do not have any outstanding accounts that I know of.  I AM on the Do Not Call List.  It's hard for me to get to the phone due to asthma, allergies and this awful heat.

I just got a call from a "debt collector" from this number, all my accounts are in good standing.  I just tried calling them back and got a machine.

Sleazy company. I asked then to stop calling me. They did not. I tried blocking their number, but they call from other numbers. The easiest way to deal with them is change your phone number.

I received a call today from Vengral, Micus, etc (a fake firm no doubt) that I had an unpaid debt. I suspected id theft bc I have no debts owed to anyone. I called back though because they used my name, with the intention of playing detective, but received the same voice mail box. I did not leave a message, but am wondering what to do if they continue to call.

I received a yellow postcard in my mailbox before I even moved in to my new home.  The card states, "We have been trying to reach you, we have a housewarming gift for you.  Give us a call @ 941-870-4353  Melanie".  Clearly it's bull.

Suggestion to those who posted above... put your numbers on the National and State Do Not Call list, keep a log, and after warning them to take you off their list, you can order the CDR (Call Detail Records) from the phone company upon filing a complaint with the FCC and state PUC.  Each call is another violation, another fine.  That's just one course of action.

I too recieved a call from this number and when I called it back the person on the other end was very professional and asked me some questions that lead me to believe this is collection agency, I asked and she told me Crowe and assoc., she had too much info not to be legit, I soon found out my kids had listed my number as there 's. case solved but she wouldn't remove my number and apologized for the inconvience, go figure.

I just got a call this morning. Then I googled their phone number and saw these posts. Same story: the message they left on our voicemail (mind you, not on our listed home number) that was garbled and unclear; they don't answer their machine. Also, I am 99.9999% certain that we don't have any outstanding debt that we are not current on; we have an excellent credit rating. So, this doesn't add up.

Received a weird electronic message regarding a debt that I do not have.  I left a message threatening to sue them should they proceed with this fraudulent claim.

This number calle me claiming that I had an outstanding debt.  I know that I do not have outstanding debt, so this call seemed a bit wierd.  I called back and got no answer just a message for receprionist 2. I dont think this is not a legit debt collector.  Do not give them ANY of your information.

Received a call from this number early this morning saying they were a debt collector and requested I call this number back. Didn't do it, don't plan to.  Don't have any past due debts.  Looks like number is from Sarasota, Florida.

I got this same call. They are obviously trying to sound professional, liek a scare tactic. They left an account number. I am very familiar with ALL my accounts. That is NOT an account number of mine. When I refused to give the number they got pissy and said to call back when I have the number "If you so choose". Sounds liek a debt collector, but I for a fact have zero outstanding debt. I am a deployed Army employee! I have not been in the US in 7 years to even have a debt!

Company called regarding a debt in the name of my 9 year old son, however, unlike other debt collection agencies that I have called back when we've gotten calls for others with same name, there was no answer and my call went to receptionist number 2.  Very weird.

They claimed to be Williams and Associates - idk who they are?

they call three times a day with an automated message.  From 9am until 10 PM! When I ask them to take my number off thier list I get disconnected and they call again the next day.
